Team Stacking?

What's the deal lately with people team stacking.. I was playing tonight, it was 2 on 1 and 1 bot.. then a DtK member who is in the top 200 (halo suit) joins the team with 2 players already on it.. the server sees 4 players on it and kicks the bot.. so there is 3 on 1. Then I get called a c*nt for asking the the guy that just joined to change teams?! And for 12 rounds the guy team wounds and TKs me.. WTF is that about?

Yeah ive seen the same issues on GG10, went 3 whole maps with 2,3 and 4 players less on my team. Definitely need auto balance on both GG servers.

An auto balance script would help. This guy was just a complete tool, I ended up changing teams because he refused to.. knifed him a few times.. :-P

Game time mate, thats one thing im pretty proud of, is that on these servers my game time is usually significantly less than others around me yet i have the same wins/points w/e.

Trust me when i say they are not all they are cracked up to be. People see the halo suit and think "stop him because he is obviously good". If you want to continue being successful on GG4, especially on GG4, you need to blend in lol.

Admins (only) should have a !cp to force someone to swap or autobalance something like that but only for admins because if everyone had it i dont even know what would happen

That's a good point. When I first cracked the top 200, I noticed that my performance had dropped a bit with my KDR failing to reach levels I was consistently earning prior to the Halo suit. I've gotten back into the swing of things lately, but I'm putting down that drop as a consequence of standing out.

Nonetheless, it was a great feeling getting into that group, so I wish you all the best.

I spose the type of skin = skill lvl = threat assessment, but personally, when you've played as long as I have, you tend to target and recognize threats by player name. Some players I'll charge through gunfire just to get at because otherwise left alive, they are too dangerous for the rest of the team. So yes, I'm definitely guilty of intentional targeting from time to time. Think Dail, for example.

The way to solve team stacking is to go random class every time. That's what I do. And seriously, don't be a pussy and refuse to team swap. Even the numbers! makes for a better bloodier game.

Is there a way tho, to change it so you don't receive a negative penalty (suicide) when you change teams? I'm sure it dissuades others from team changing.

A number of times i have also been on a team who was outnumbering the enemy and ive said to them "ill swap when im killed". Since they had lower numbers no one could kill me for ages. Either eventually im killed and then swap or just eat it and lose a level and swap. Id rather not lose a level.

Muppet this happens to me all the time when there is bots. When there is 3 players and 1 bot sometimes if a new player joins and hits auto select (or deliberatly pics the team without the bot) it puts you on the team with 2 players instead of on the team with 1 player and a bot, it then must realise that there is no longer need for a bot so it removes the bot from the other team leaving you with 1v3. If your the 4th player who has joined and accidentally caused the team stack, you should swap immediately. You may start with a score of -1 but you don't lose a level.

I think it would be great if there was a way to change teams without losing level or an auto swap feature that evens the teams as players die although if alot of players left during a game it could become confusing for those being swapped and cause lots of accidental TKing.

I think its good that we dont see alot of skill-stacking, I've noticed alot of top player swapping teams to not only even out the numbers but sometimes just to even out the skill level as well. Players like Button and Ronin who silently help keep the server fair and enjoyable for everyone else. I'm sure if we can raise the level of fair-play and sportsmanship among dtk members to all new heights then it will eventually spread throughout our greater playing community and incedents such as this would occur far less frequently
