Double xp

Every Saturday night have an event between say.. 7pm and 9pm where you get double the xp when you kill someone. I think it'd be a good way to encourage people to jump onto office and it would increase the rank whoring competitiveness (for better or for worse it might keep the server populated for longer at night), especially in the top10 where Smiles, super hornet (he's such a bad player trollolol) and cryptic are fighting for #1.

Opinions?

yes this would be a great a idea, but im not a office player im a dust or gg 10, the only problem i would have with such an event would be if you get killed would you lose instead of -2 points would that be doubled and be -4 or -6 would be -12? but this i think would populate the server as well, you should tell the staff member of office server or talk to the event committee about this

I haven't played office in awhile, due to picking up pugging. But back when I played it religiously the timings you mentioned the server seemed to be the best. Only around 9-10 players a side. Unless it's changed, then it's a worthy idea. Guarenteed I won't be playing. Defs be out

I investigated a Happy Hour type thing once when i was Dust JA, the problem is HLStatsX is Very closed and restrictive, using a plugin to modify its settings is not exactly an easy thing to do, i never got an answer to if it was even possible.

Sorry to thread hi-jack you, Lenny. But I think that the double XP might start to affect the ranks of those who are unable to play at the designated time. Perhaps make it so headshots are 2 points instead of 1 or something like that. You would see some rankwhoring there, but the stats wouldnt get overpowered from those who cannot play at that time.

Top Cat makes a good point. Although i dont care terribly much about rank anymore, there are those out there that do, and like me, maybe cant play at a desginated time. This would make it unfair on their chances in getting to the ranked position they would like. Maybe to intice some skill, double XP on knife kills?

i think that the way that it works now is really good anyway, rank 20 kills a rank 500 and gets 2/3 points, and a rank 500 kills a rank 20 and gets 10/11... :]

people say they dont care for ranks or points, but when the points arn't workin the server is pretty much empty at the times you it usally is full, the points havnt been on in like 2 days (i dunno) n iv only played a few times cause people just arnt in the server without points, so double points could lead to having to auto join when a spot becomes open

points do work, they just arent visible ingame.
even check hlx, your points still get recorded

I'm in support of this idea 100%, rank whores will do all the work for you when it comes to filling the server with this.
