New Bhop

Although i fully support the attempt to stop "preb hopers" "fps_maxers" i think that we have now taken it too far. with the new bhop, i dont know if this is temporary or not, and if it is disregard this. I am one of the very few legit "bhopers" that do not use anything to enhance my bhop except for my bhoping skill. It is imposible for me to bhop on the server, after about 3-4 jumps it lowers my speed, i know rowdy and the team had good intentions but bhop is what draws me to this server. Its a key part of my rebelling. without it, it makes it really dull and boring.

I think its very unfair. As there is a few of us that are legit. Please fix this, kind regards

Christian, I know it sucks, it's temporary as of right now but if we can not find a way to hinder the 'fpsmaxers' without hindering normal bhoppers then I may be forced even to return sv_ebablebunnyhopping to 0. It's a sad fact that the few ruin it for the many, because it has turned JB into 'bhop so fast the ct can't shoot me and knife him' as opposed to actually rebelling through planning and cunning, the way it used to be.

I, as much as trigger support this, it's so damn hard to guard, or warden with people like ninjaassassin bhopping circles around you.

Also ipood, if you played before bhop was enabled, than you'd know just how major of a difference those bhoper's make to the gameplay...
I'm guessing some of the reason's for this is that not only is it VERY hard to discover scripter's ingame with definite PROOF, but there are also things people can buy to give them a massive advantage over players, e.g. "Hyperscroll, or frictionless mouse wheel".

With these reasons, simply saying "it's kinda gay without it, put it back" isn't gonna do it.
I suggest putting up a petition and actually getting a MIX of people from the server to sign it...

Angro, fyi hyperscroll and frictionless mouse is the same thing. Having a petition up would be a great idea however instead of just having the dtk members from JB taking part of the petition i think that if we can we should have an in-game petition so everyone that plays JB has an opinion.

there is a way to hinder fpsmax.

we have set it up on the si servers and it has worked a charm

set the server to fps_min60 anyone actually setting thier fps lower than that gets kicked, and a msg saying you need to set your fps to a min of 60 before joining again. people who have it set to 0 (which actually means infinate fps depending on wat their comp can handle) are exempt from the kick.

basicly the way it works is every few mins the sysytem scans all players and kicks people accordingly.

i prob didnt word it as good as i could have. but it dosent kick people for having a fps lower than 60, it only kicks people who SET thier fps lower than 60.
so if someone runs an average of 50fps but have actually got thier settings set to 0 or anything higher than 60 than they are fine.

I honestly don't think you should be worrying about scripters, it's SO easy to just bind jump even to a non-frictionless mousewheel and still get to 700+ velocity in under 10 seconds of jumping... It's ♥♥♥♥ing ridiculous, people who have played JB before (and even WELL before) bunny hopping was enabled would realise that it is absolutely NOT NECESSARY FOR REBELLING.

I fully disagree with any petition, I believe the admins of JB should assess what this is doing to JB gameplay and decide accordingly as they have been doing so far; It's already clear they understand that the bhopping has gone well too far.

You're an absolute idiot.... 1. Kstaar doesn't use bhop to rebel, ever... if ANYTHING he is a perfect example of why bhopping should be nerfed; Not needed at all to maintain a high rank and he even plays T 100% of the time. 2. Why would you go CT just because you can't rebel? you don't actualy have to rebel 100% of the time anwyay... learn to be patient and rebel with skillful opportunities like the JB players of old and you'll see. 3. Guys, this currently is a trial and not permanent. Us admins will analyse on how the changes have impacted on the gameplay of the Jailbreak server.

look, trying to get FPS_Maxers to stop.. u cant unless u do what spoon said, right now they have just punished all other normal bhoppers, because fps_maxers, 1. If u cant bhop, learn, 2. fps max'rs arent that hard to deal with, just shoot them if their told to be frozen, 3. JB will break if this is kept because surfing also gets effected since the airacceleration was decreased, and bhopping maps will make it hard to pass them, sand is possible but hardly, i think redux is completely impossible now, since the part at the end that u surf down wll just stop u before u get onto the first platform, and as for VIP IN THE MIX, it was already impossible to finish the 3rd stage (over exxagoration) doing this just made it harder

I say put back to the way it was, if u really wanna deal with fps_max'rs put up the Boundary that Spoon said, as it only effects the people who actually set their MAX fps down, ppl with low fps because of their comps wont be effected
