    Question How to get transparent ingame sprays?

    I just made myself a nice spray but it has a transparent background and i see other players sprays with transparency on them. My file is a .png and counter strike doesnt accept it what other file types can be used?

    you dont use a png. you have to convert the png into a VTF file and drag it into the logos folder in your cstrike folder. you can convert by downloading THIS

    .vtf (Valve Texture Format) is the best format to be using for ingame sprays for cs:s

    Depending on which program you're using to make your sprays/images is depending on what you need to download. Both Photoshop and Gimp have readily available plugins to support saving in the .vtf format, instructions on how to add them in game etc are here on this forum article

    you're not keen on using a program that's legit free & safe to use, but you're keen to use a program that has its price tag bloated up to afew hundred dollars or more simply because of a brand name?

    makes no sense to me but oh well. =)
