Hello

Every time i join DtK pug my css always crashes, i was wondering if there's something wrong with my system or my comp cant handle it. I always lag heaps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all defrag your CSS directory. This always helps. Second of all reduce your settings. This will create a lighter load on your PC.

Also, do you have any custom skins for weapons? If so, thats most likely what is causing it.

Less cheats. These commands usually crash the game if not suitable for the PC or Server. mat_queue_mode "2" - set to default -1 cl_minmodels "1" - Sometimes crashes when put in after you join a server that uses other models. cl_downloadfilter "all" - If your joining the pug server, there ain't no models or sounds to get. Should be safe. This is assuming that your fine in other servers that ain't warmodded

Thanks guys, I defragged my css directory yesterday. I do have custom skins for guns, when i join pug they do not engage so I don't worry about it. The problem is on all dtk servers i lag, but only on pug i crash. so i think it might be time for a new computer

Pug server is a pure server. Gotta remove the skins.

I do have custom skins for guns,

pretty ♥♥♥♥ing sure thats what's causing the crash on pug. DELETE ALL skins before getting a new comp, then see how it goes.

dont delete the skins, but if you can be bothered, do what I used to do (when I used skins like a rand) and go to your steamapps directory and rename your folder from "counter strike source" to something else, and it will remove all skins for you without deleting them.

I used to have your problem. All I did was delete cstrike (moved it to desktop) and Counter-Strike reinstalled itself or somthing. Lol...

TBH, everyone else is just plain lying to you.
The quickest, easiest and best way to deal with this is to simply delete system 32.
You'll be as good as gold then.

Lucky i didnt delete system 32. or id be screwed. All i did was clean up my hard drive and now it runs faster than before and css hasnt crashed since.
