Never had problems with sound. What sound you have? Card? onboard? usb? usually the motherboard cd comes with drivers (if its a recent motherboard), otherwise, try windows update to find the driver.

Its a Custom built PC, its got a Sound card, Graphics card, 4gb RAM, Dual or Quad core (I don't even know).
This is just a Temp computer which will be my parents soon when i build my Uber computer in a month's time, Dad doesn't understand tech well and blames dust, yes, thats right, dust as every problem that occurs and he wants sound NOAW!
So, im stuck having to find bullshit drivers that don't work.
Thats my current specs and situation.
Also, I upgraded from Vista on this computer to Windows 7 if that helps.
Haven't been on steam in so long D:
Its either your audio drivers or the speakers You might have to reinstall windows and see what happens
Speakers turned on?
You're welcome.

Ahh, upgrade from vista. Probably kept the same drivers or tried to find the exact same driver for win7 (although most drivers from vista can be used on win7).
go to the device manager, find the sound driver, UNINSTALL IT.
up the top of the "Device Manager" window, find the "Scan for hardware changes". see if it will try to find the driver again.
Also, in "Advance System Properties", go Hardware, and Device Installation Settings. Select Windows update if not found on my computer.
And, give me the sound card brand, model or website link
I fixed it last night, (finally).
Turns out it was just the drivers, I had to find the specific driver for my motherboard because I have a built in soundcard.
Since you have performed a custom installation to Windows 7, the drivers will not be updated in Windows 7 and windows 7 will use a generic inbult drivers. Firstly I suggest you to uninstall the audio driver and download and reinstall the audio driver from manufacturer website.
