Server #5 Thoughts/Views.

Hey, i want to hear what everyone has to say about the temp changes on dust2, playing dust2_unlimited with random spawns was great today. Had alot of fun

• Thinking of putting some more dust style maps on the rotation

• To leave or not to leave random spawns?

• Was thinking of making it something like dust2, then first to get to 300 kills can either,

- Leave dust2 on
- Change to a map of there choice (dust style maps)
- Make dust2 random spawns

So, please leave as much feedback as you want, also get other people to leave feedback, they a regular, get them to sign up and leave feedback, its easy to register and they can have there say.

Imo random spawns would be much better, would eliminate campers in pit and spawnkilling and personally I think it's better for DeathMatch.

- random spawns, - i guess is ok, but the spawner cant shoot until 2-3secs after being spawned?

- original dust 2 is better, rather then the new one. it is too big.

- reward players that has killed 5times in a row with a grenade?

- maybe mics are enabled for same team only?

- maybe people holding knives have a slight invincibility so they could knife?

- ive seen a different server where they are able to throw the knives?

Definitely keep random respawns, and perhaps leave it on original dd2, thats why its so damn populated.

Just played on the new map I think it will be awesome with a well populated server only had around 8 on each team when I was on and the map was a little big. The random spawning is awesome you have to keep looking around ready to shoot. I used to play a dust2 with random spawn it was so much better so hopefully this map could get converted too? Stickynades like on DM would be a pretty cool addition. Like the throwing knives idea, as for team chat with mics only I think that is a pain when you want to say hello to someone on the opposite team lol that is all.

my 2 cents:

great to see some change. random spawns excellent. spawn protection negates inability to fire for a coupla secs. dust2unlimited much bigger so not so congested at diff points on the map. first to 300, takes to long i feel. top score at a certain time of the day perhaps??? why not throw in aztec or italy as once a day only rotations if thats possible? run dust2 for like 1 hour then 2 diff maps for 20mins each. people wont leave as not too long till dust2 is back. more variety for regular players. i think like most changes will take a wee bit of time for overall acceptance, but once everyone gets used to the new maps they will love it im sure. dust2 is by far my favourite map, but chnage is good also. thanks S15.

lol, i know what you mean with the mic mitch, but when im in T, i kinda want to yell at the whole team to come down to Pits so kill the cts. but i guess, with random spawning, it wouldnt matter much anymore!

yes definately. random spawning negates spawn killing, fantastic, really nothing more cowardly. lol ok ok i have done it a couple of times, but only as paybacks...honestly... and it makes it much more fun to beable to talk and banter with the opposition. watch n listen to ac/dc he rules with the mic

It mixes things up, and stops everybody from awping down mid

what for? do you have strats for DM?

the people choose to knife themselves, they should not be given extra abilities for it

- ive seen a different server where they are able to throw the knives?

It really annoying having stuff like that, nobody is going to use guns when they can one shot with a knife across the map


Just my opinion, good to see people thinking though

Also can we have Dak Dak's removed, the reasons are pretty obvious, there is no excuse for using that crap

dislike random spawn - i enjoyed it the way it was, random is to typical dm for me. but i assume all the awp haters will deagree with me here but awp is part of the game.

like the idea of 300 kills gets a choice on dust styled map or some sort of choice/power etc

i wasnt here when de_dust was given ago but i personally would like to see it given another go even if say 1.5 hr de_dust2 40 mins de_dust or somthing along those lines or even if every 1 hr its voted upon to change to de_dust for 40 mins or somthing
