Everybody knows what I'm talking about. Those annoying guys who think they are the man (or woman, depending) and just abuse anybody who may be better than them at the game. (For example.)

I don't exactly know what to do to combat it, but if we record it on fraps, is it a punishable crime? Along with their Steam_ID, of course.

It's really getting out of hand lately, so I think some form of reporting system should be put in place if it hasn't already. Cool.

I know excatly what you mean, its only 3 or 4 guys but they swear non stop for the whole game i used to mute everyone but some guys actually contribute constructive comments so i like to hear what they have to say. i think people just have to cowboy up and vote yes when a votrmute happens and these idiots will get the hint

I just reckon if you're joking around with it, have a laugh-- sure. I'm talking about abuse. About 48 hours ago, a user that I won't name (because I'm not that bothered by it in this instance) began abusing my cousin (who was also present on the server), before directly abusing me and a couple of others. It was things like "Fk up PH34RLESS, just stfu we don't wanna hear you" after I had spoken once saying "nice shot, bro" . . . What makes it worse is that it's just meaningless.

Anyways, I'm not bovvuhd (Catherine Tate reference), but I am sure there will be users that will be quite offended by happenings such as these.

If you're joking around, laugh for the sake of it, so we can know the difference. Cooool.

It is of course hard to know when people are being serious as you can not see them face to face. Sarcasm just doesnt work on the internet. We must all remember that it is just a game and if at any time you feel threated or vulnerable you need to either mute them in the player list, hence stopping any verbal slang or.... take a demo of it, also there steam id and we will happily look at it and see what has happened. We dont mind a bit of banter, but it has to be in good taste. Keep it fun.

When people do this on the Dust 2 server I talk them down. If they continue I warn them to start respecting me, the server and the other players. If they fail to do so, I mute AND gag them so they shutup completely. People like this make the server uncomfortable for others, and they need to learn respect and most of all shut up!

Honestly I don't recall having heard/seen any actual female (including myself) talking shit in the game just because they can and or because they think they're better ..........

Is there a specific server inwhich this is happening ?

Why dont you just use a warning system, in which if someone is warned or kicked post it on the forum immediately so other admins on the server know the same xD

Well the thread is in the Office Deathmatch section, however 'abusive behaviour' is and always will be a problem on EVERY server.

I have seen a female go a little crazy on the office server and to be honest she had every right too and i backed what she had to say 100% the thing is, i'm on that server pretty much daily and its good if not great through out the day. Of a night time its alot more difficult to deal with people. but thats dealt with a very simple command ("Voice_enable 0" to re-enable "Voice_enable 1" and retry the server.) The most amount of abuse i've seen from anyone on that server in particular are the ones who spam the vote system. which gets irritating. it'd be cool if you guys could implement s system that allows say 2 votes for what ever reason after that it becomes disabled to that ip address for 24hrs maybe that will give those certain players something to think about. just an idea

We do warn and ban people if they keep abusing the voting system. We often ban them for a week (just me though), Bruce bans them permanently lols.
Most of the time, we dont really care what people say on the server, its just about having fun. If majority of players find it annoying, its their call to rock the votemute.

For me its mainly the pointless votekick and voteban votes that go on.

As for Mic spam, only time I have used votemute is against people spamming music that will not stop it.
