Troll field day

I'm sure that i'm not the only one to have noticed, but recently there have been a bunch of people that have begun to troll office when they jump on together as a group. They made a group and called it something like EIIWWWW... which is fair enough, who cares about that lol. Anyways to the point... a little bit of trolling or talking shit on office is acceptable but it gets rather annoying when people keep making stupid sounds on microphone or talking pointless shit. Office is a pretty relaxed server but I think that admins should be more harsh on people who are constantly being annoying dicks. Super hornet knows exactly who I am talking about as he has had to mute a couple of guys on numerous occasions. Anyways... the point of this is to outline that I believe that after a few warnings and maybe a mute, if players continue to troll, I think a ban should be imposed. What do you guys think (office regulars in particular)?

Trolling is Something that well all Way Be Around and is something that People creave on. People who Troll I highly recommend just igoning it and if it gets to a point Where it is so Annoying Just get a Admin. The Admins are they to help and Police if People are Trolling send a Message on the Forums or send a Private Message over Steam. Also you have the !cp Its there to help .

Yeah i have to agree with you dude, i haven't seen it much when i play office but i can understand where you are coming from and it should definitely be seen with a ban (provided there have be appropriate warnings/mutes/kicks etc).

in regards to the trollers ive been on a few times when they are on and they are a bit annoying i spose but its only when a few of these people r on and not all r bad u get them come on just one or 2 they are prity good but one when he comes on and others of his mates are on then thats when it gets really annoying so i think mute is good enough not like they leave and come back just to start it again but yea if they do then thats a different story all together

DTK has always been a non-trolling community, and it has always been a bannable offence to the best of my knowledge. But me, much like others, dont mind a little bit of friendly trolling now and then

dtk has never been a non trolling community. we've always been a community that allows for a certain amount of banter/venting etc on our DM servers. The only server where trolling is a definate zero tolerance is JB because that does actually interfere with the game play on THAT server.

That being said though, DTK has always been about allowing everyone a fair chance to some fun, relaxed and fair gaming environment.

Yes there is the option of muting them on your own console side, but at the end of the day, we should probably be taking abit more of a proactive look at quality of numbers on the servers.

I was actually on the office server for about half an hour or so earlier tonight and I did actually notice that as soon as the people with that "eww" tag came in, we had at least 5 people just leave which wasn't really that great being as there weren't alot of people on the server to begin with. At first I thought it was just coincidental timing with the 5 who left, but that thought was quickly gone after about 10 seconds of them being on the server when their mic spamming, I was actually starting to wonder if those 5 had left because they were used to these guys coming in to do nothing but spam mic.
Personally, I think abit of friendlhy banter trollololol's on DM servers should be fine, but when it gets to the point where you cant even hear your own music because of their screaming into mic constantly, I draw the line there.

Okay i do know that you are talking about us, and yes there are some of us that do like the friendly troll ( myself included ) but i believe that I am just having a bit of fun on the server while just playing the game. As you know lenny its usually at you but i have never really said anything personal or bad aimed towards you and its usually just little comments when one of us kills eachother or something like that. Last night was ridiculous with one of our boys absolutely shouting into the mic which resulted in a mute which is fair enough as it hurts the gameplay of the server, and my ears included. i love that server man, play it at least 3 hours a night its great, and I totally agree with you that a few warning mutes should result in a ban. A week at most? Whats everyones thoughts?

There are many troll on minigames, mainly late at nights and trolling should be a bannable offence if it goes to far into something more like bullying, racism or sexism.

Word of advice - Escape - Player list - Mute them all.

^ Thats probably the only fix to annoying people on servers, telling them to shut up or arguing with them or even trolling back will just make them more annoying and well youll get more pissed off, so just follow the word of advice and youll be okay

Lol I know. It's more joey that pisses me off cause he starts so much shit and starts mic spam "wars". Becca pretty much hit the nail on the head with what she said. A little bit is fine, but every 5 seconds for an extended period of time gets annoying.

I know people are suggesting to mute all... but that is not a complete solution either because there are some players who never troll, so why be deprived of talking to them on mic or whatever because a few players take it too far when trolling?
