Today, I was browsing the JB rules when I came across some areas which need fixing.
You can view the current DtK JB rules here: http://www.dying2kill.com.au/pages.php?pageid=14
This is what is should be, the rules that should be applied now.
[General]
DtK Neophytes, Members, Troopers, and Veterans have access to DtK's control panel admin menu which allows them to cast a vote to CTBAN, MUTE, SWAP, KICK, and BAN.
Any abuse of the ban, kick and or mute will not be tolerated. Players who are found to be abusing the !cp by spamming votes for no valid reason, will be removed from this privilege permanently.
1. No mic spam, or using hldj (or anything of the kind).
2. Watch the abuse, racism/sexism will not be tolerated.
3. Hacking is an instant permanent ban with little to no chance of appeal.
4. Offensive sprays will result in a warning to change it, then a kick/ban.
5. NO ADVERTISING of other servers. This includes your name, text/mic caht and adding people on steam from the server, with specific intent of recruiting.
6. If an admin tells you to do something, please listen, as we are only here to help.
7. If an !lr is in progress, do not disrupt it (eg, sitting in the way during a shot 4 shot) or you are allowed to be killed or slayed.
8. Deliberate team killing (eg with a soccer ball or smoke grenade) will result in a slay. Repeatedly doing so will result in a kick/ban.
9. Swearing is fine, as long as it is not abusive and or excessive.
10. NO GHOSTING. If you are dead, don't spoil the game for other people.
11. If you feel that you or someone else has been deliberately ill treated by another player on the server, including but not limited to, frequent deliberate free killing, harassment, hacking, please feel free to submit a demo to DtK's SourceBan page @ www.dtkbans.com.
[Admin]
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
1. Admins must be respectful to ALL players. This is the number one expectation of the DtK Community.
2. Admins must respect the decision of other admins, as well as respecting the rank of other admins whether above or below.
3. Admins abusing the privelige of having admin abilities, will not be tolerated and will be demoted without warning.
4. Admins must make decisions and enforce rules objetively without including any personal issues or past conflicts in their judgement.
5. Admins must not use their powers for personal benefit in game. This includes but is not limited to, giving friends special treatment. You have received your powers to ensure fair play, NOT for personal gain.
6. Admins using their powers in retaliation to admins or players will NOT be tolerated. Consequences will include demotion and removal of commands.
7. Admins should not be quick to use their powers. Explain what players have done wrong before being quick to punish.
8. Admins must follow the warn/mute/slay/kick/ban procedure. Be tolerant with new comers to our servers and explain the rules clearly. Refrain from kicking players straight away as you are simply doing harm to our community.
9. Do NOT simply take someone's word. If you did not witness a free kill, do NOT act upon “ZOMG FREEKILL ADMIN BAN PL0X”. If they spam (TO ADMINS) chat, private message them with “@ in team chat and ask them to stop (eg. TEAM_CHAT: "@I was freekilled while warden was dead and un-declared. Please notify the CT Team."). If they keep spamming, /gag is there for a reason.
10. If somebody is blatantly free killed, make sure you at the very least slay the free killer, telling them what they did wrong. Whether or not you respawn the victim should depend on how far in the round is. Sometimes a respawn can be just as destructive as a free kill.
[Counter-Terrorists]
1. Free kill massacres will resut in a ban from joining CT, with a possible ban from the server.
2. You MUST have a LOUD and CLEAR microphone to be on the CT Team.
3. The ratio is 1 CT for every 3 T's (eg 5 CT's 15 Ts) with the T's team being filled first. Hold your tab button for a few seconds to see the scoreboard as you join the server and or round to check the numbers and avoid stacking.
4. CT's must be able to see T's, otherwise they are considered camping where T's are not, resulting in a warn/slay/swap. Exceptions of this are free days and hide and seek rounds.
5. Ct's must NOT play the same game more than once within 3 rounds. This includes outright free days. During a game, a maximum of 10 T's can be killed, from then a new game must be initiated.
6. CT's must give at least 10 seconds (by the clock on the screen) between opening and closing cells to allow for reasonable time for the T's to come out as ordered.
7. Gun checks are to last for no more than 30 seconds. During this time, you may pause a gun check when a GUN is found, you must CLEARLY name the T with the weapon and ask them to throw it away. You may order a T to get rid of a grenade, however you may not pause gun check for it.
8. CT's must give a REASONABLE time for T's to get to where they are being ordered to go.
9. CT's are NOT allowed to order T's to crouch and or walk, unless they are rebelling, or it is necessary for something such as zombie free day.
10. Gun planting is not allowed, unless for the involvement of a game. Doing so otherwise will resuilt in a slay/swap.
11. CT's can kill any T's in vents and or gun room without warning. However, CT's are not allowed to camp gun room or vents. Furthermore, CT's cannot break vents unless they are 100% of T's hiding in that area.
12. Ct's cannot kill T's left in cells unless they have been hiding or AFK. If they appear to be AFK you must clearly name them, ask if they are AFK and then count down from 3 (at a reasonable pace, not stupidly fast). If they respond in the 3 seconds, you must let them out of the cells and allow them to participate with the round.
13. CT's smoking, flashing or shooting at another CT or a T who is NOT rebelling will result in an immediate slay/swap off the team. Even with Friendly Fire turned off, it still disrupts the player and the round and will be viewed as being a nuisance and treated accordingly.
14. During a gun check, T's are allowed to knife the air and toggle flashlight, as this does not count as moving during a gun check.
15. You may shoot T's on sight if they are a rebel (red). Unless the T is rebel from either playing within the rules of a mini game and or a CT has 'baited' them by going into their knifing range.
16. When calling a mini game, the 'warden' MUST clearly explain every rule within the mini game. Any free kills resulting from not explaining rules properly will result in slay/swap.
17. If you call a free day, you may restrict areas (eg “free day no disco”) for your own safety. Make sure this is clearly said over the microphone. Once a free day has been given, it cannot be revoked unless in original orders. CT's can still give orders, (eg “freeze” or ordering a T to move out of an area) by clearly NAMING the T and giving the orders, only if you feel you are under threat.
18. Ct's are not allowed to give special treatment (eg giving a free day for one player only). The only exception to this would be if a T has earned a free day as a priorly CLEARLY stated 'prize' for winning a mini game in the previous round.
19. CT's are not allowed to give orders which will get a T killed. This includes, but is not limited to, making T's kill a CT and making T's jump from heights without a way of surviving.
20. When the warden dies, so does his or her orders. This means another CT needs to pick up the role of warden, clearly stating “I am your new warden” over the microphone. Until the T's are given orders from their NEW warden, it is considered a free day.
21. CT's cannot shoot T's without warning just for being out of their cells before they are opened. If a CT spots a T out of cells before they are opened, they need to clearly NAME the escaping T, then give orders to that T to join the rest of the Prisoners. If the CT spotting the run away is not the warden, they must wait until the warden is NOT speaking before they do this.
22. CT's cannot order a T to stay somewhere where they are not. (eg, warden dies, everyone scatters from the wall, next CT says “stay on the wall”. This is a redundant and invalid order for those T's who are not actually AT the wall at the time of the order.
23. CT's need to give reasonable time for mic delay. You can't just say “hey freeze” then shoot them straight away for not freezing before they've even HEARD the order.
24. CT's cannot give orders in a way that is speaking too fast and or mumbled for anyone to hear properly. Orders must be CLEAR AND COHERENT AT ALL TIMES. If one or more T has told you that they couldn't hear and or understand for whatever reason, you MUST repeat the orders CLEARLY.
25. CT's wishing to use a “trigger' word for T's to wait for before moving where they are ordered to move is fine. However, keep it to ONE CLEAR WORD, not a whole sentence. If you try to use a whole sentence as a 'trigger', the entire order will be deemed as null and void.
26. The first 30 seconds of the round sees the entire T team automatically muted so the CT's can decide on a warden and the warden can begin issuing orders. Unless there is rebelling (being handled by CT's) and or team stacking (being handled by an admin), there is NO REASON why the round cannot be started already by the time the timer hits 0:00 If the cells are not opened and or orders being given by this time, it is considered a free day until the 'warden' starts giving orders.
27. If you are not prepared to warden, and do it properly, DO NOT JOIN CT.
28. If a T has a weapon whether primary or secondary, holstered or held, a CT must CLEARLY name the T, ask them to turn away and drop it giving REASONABLE time for the order to be followed. However if as T is CLEARLY pointing the weapon at a CT, this disregards this rule.
29. If there is rebelling, do NOT SHOOT INTO A CROWD. If you cannot get a CLEAR shot on the rebel without wounding and or killing innocent T's, DO NOT SHOOT. If a T is blatantly trying to hide and or 'cover up' the rebelling T, this disregards this ruile.
30. Non !lr'ing CT's can give orders while there is an !lr in progress. However, the orders still need to be within reason and they have to make sure it's not going to interfere in the !lr in any way.
31. If you have been CT on the previous map, share it around and allow others to join CT on a new map before you decide to join CT again. This is to ensure everyone has some fun, and the 'new' guards means new style of game play most of the time.
32. BE CREATIVE!! There is more to being a CT or even a warden than being able to shoot somebody. There is an entire map beyond the cell room, try to use it. For example, if you want to play some trivia and you're on the black ops map, take the T's to the jeopardy room and add some fun into it.
[Prisoners]
1. DO NOT speak over the warden while he or she is giving orders. Doing so will get you shot for.
2. Do NOT spam the mic. If you require medic, state it when the warden is NOT speaking, and do NOT do it in an abusive manner.
3. T's killed before cells are opened are entitled to a respawn, However, if the T has died from suicide and or rebelling, (shooting at a CT and being shot for it), this rule is disregarded.
4. T's are clear to knife any CT within their 5ft radius (Frozen in one place). The CT's cannot retaliate to this attack. However, a rushing T disregards this rule.
5. The final T or T's may not be forced to LR. However during individual !lr, the T must not rebel with the LR weapon, or while still beaconed. If the last remaining T has activated an LR, the round must end in an LR.
6. T's must not have an obscure name such as “All T's” or “Go to gun room”. If they do, they will be requested to change it immediately.
7. It's fine to pick loopholes in orders, but do not mic spam about it.
8. If another T is rebelling, do not deliberately cover up/hide them. If you do, don't complain about being shot.
9. If you have been free wounded, you are allowed to ask for medic without denial. However, if you are wounded from self infliction (eg jumping from a high rail/roof) or because you were deliberately hiding a rebel, you can be denied medic.
10. If there is an !lr in progress, and if there is a CT alive who is NOT in the !lr (not beaconed) you may rebel if you wish to, as long as it is in no way disrupting the !lr in progress.
This is how I think the rules should be. They defiantly need editing though. All 4 Parts HAVE been edited.
