More organised events!?

So.. just recently on jailbreak Facebook made a fun ass game which was boat wars! The game was played by, 5 ts i think it was on the boats in canyon and they battled it out until it was the last 1 standing, and this person who was last standing got to sit out of the next heat and proceed into the finals with a couple of other lucky people.

Not that i participated in this funny and fun event. I sat and watched instead to see how it would unfold, and by geese it was good! I'd love to see more organised events around jailbreak would make the experience a tonne better! Thanks facebook!

Thats why we have the monthly DtK Olympics and DevilNinja's Ice hockey tournament and i think there will be a soccer tourny soon as well. ALSO thats why Council has decided to bring up the Events Manager Rank (but the EM rank wont revolve around JB, only on various occasions)

So yeah....trust me bro, there will be HEAPS more events coming your way mate

hey, if you ever want to make an event yourself then go ahead or maybe even help out then definately go ahead :P

haha elite, but do you think its a good idea, introducing more organised events, to get every one happy, and stop the boredom of those "un-fun wardens"

I will use PART of a private message I sent somebody else regarding organizing an event on JB.

I will offer my SUGGESTIONS, take them as you like and email your plan for the event. The email address to use is on my User Notes on my forum profile.

My suggestions:

1. Keep it to a set time frame, for example: 8pm til 9pm October 16th 2011
2. If you would like at least one designated JB JA for the event, say so, if you would like one JA in particular to do it, let me know, I'll give them first preference.
3. Give me a list of any possible admin intervention (commands) would be required and why they would be required.
4. Give me as much info as you can as to how you want to run the event itself.
5. If the event you want to organize can only be done on certain maps, for example a soccer event, obviously not all maps would be able to accomodate it, so give me a list of at least FIVE different maps that are currently on the rotation, that you would like used for the event.

This won't set it concrete so don't go announcing anything yet. What you can do NOW if you like, is start a new thread on the JB section asking for a show of hands from those interested in participating in the event.

Yeah but in the mean time it's up to us to organize things and when the EM stuff starts then it'll be easy enough for whoever it is to liase with the JB team =)
