This isn't to all admins nor players, I've say an increase of cockyness from some admins?player who think they can do anything because they have !cp. Well im fairly sick off it if someone is trolling, hacking, etc then please all means vote. But don't abuse !cp and start voting random crap on random people. Please every member has the privilege of !cp dont abuse. Like everything it can be taken away from you as easily as it was given.

At the end of the day, you gotta realise admins are players too, why don't we have the right to be just as cocky as other players? As for trolling etc ... unless its on JB which is the only DTK server with rules against trolling/abuse (because it can and does interfere in actual game play) ... why can't we give back as we get? If those trolling us can't handle us trolling back, says alot for them doesn't it...

I reckon you should be able to give it back to a degree, but shouldnt you be setting an example in the first place? Rather than abuse them back, use your power wisely and gag them, then the rest of use dont have to listen to them either.

One question though, I was playing against a member a few nights ago who was just being downright inflammatory. Constantly calling myself and other players a c**t and making slanderous comments. No one else had started this, it was just a member who imo was crossing the line in a big way and thought it was okay because he had gotten away with it for months. Where do senior dtk members draw the line here?

Personally I like to troll people, but I do it with a tmp and a knife, not a microphone and four letter words.

Arkwark, I understand exactly what u r saying. My advice, just as others have said, demo and forward to a ja,sa, or a senior member of DtK. It is quite annoying, especially if you are the "victim" of somebody who just wants to "burn" people, or kick people or stuff like that for no apparent reason. I hear u brother, send me the demo and I'll send "The Fish" in to sort it. :P

The only problems i have been seeing, is people in such a hurry to use the !cp system in JB, as this is where most of our [N]ew members play. Everyone is just itching to use the !cp, even if its just for minor things like muting.

Much credit to Facebook today, who managed to !cp someone in what appearead less than a second? Has to be a guiness world record right? (He had a good reaosn, lol)

Where trolling is concerned, there's a difference between us giving it back, and us taking it too far. I'm fairly sure most if not all of our administrators are well aware of where that line is without it needing to be spelled out.

As far as the incident you spoke of about a member being outright abusive, there are ways you yourself can do something about it.

1. you could mute him/her in your own counter-strike options.

2. you could use the !cp menu
3. you could demo and submit it to SB with the complaint.

Im sorry that i forgot to put this in my comment but a lot or MEMBERS NOT ADMINS especially newer ones mute people with either very high pitch voices which yes is annoying but they have a right to say what they would like or people who are have a conversation which can be annoying but if its not spamming i dont see whats wrong with it ????

I can recall last week when i was on thr nilla GG server,

a CT player was shooting at a T and a Newish (noob) player (on CT) accidently jumped infront of the firing line of his team mate and caused a TK.
Now the CT player who had to sit out the next round was quiet upset and started swearing and used the !cp menu and caused a VOTE KICK. He wasnt in DTK, and clearly seen the whole thing happen and that it was an accident. i told everyone to vote no. He still continued using the !cp menu throughout the rest of the game.

Also a few weeks back from memory, the same sort of thing happend.. One player was shitty because he kept dieing and abused the !cp controls and wanted to vote kick anyone who killed him with a headshot, even tryed to votkick me aswell... some people are rediculious.

So there are a few people who seem to want to take control of the server(s) to suit them selves. Fishy has told me how to demo, and i will be doing it from now on.

People spamming the mic are annoying and once they are muted; come back into the server and still carry on being an idiot. then they should be banned for an hour or what ever.

Everyone who i play with on the nilla gg server seem ok and i havent noticed much abuse except for "accidental TK'ing" or Kill stealing.

back to my initial thread, is mic spamming really a problem when generally it's just a form of trolling which is actually allowed on the dtk servers bar jb? get it? confused i am, confused i is? froggy if u demoed that guy, gauranteed he wuda been serving a ban right now or recently. evidence gives us the authority to act on these incidents.

we encourage you all to submit demos of us misbehaving, otherwise how are we to pick up on it and improve. For some reason though the demos i submit of Kruegers aimbots keep disappearing under the rug. lol jks. Demos of admins are taken more seriously than anyother.
