Important notice regarding all applications!

As of today...
The 20 useful post requirement for applications is NO LONGER A REQUIREMENT.

For those who have been rejected due to lack of useful posts, you are invited to re-apply to join DTK.

If you were rejected for other reasons such as bans, then the date given on the final processing post still applies to you.

I will go through the Human Resources checklist, and edit it as required to ensure we don't end up rejecting new applications from those who are reapplying before the date they were given.
I will be going through all applications that were rejected in the last three weeks, and changing the prefix to accepted due to the change in requirements.

Please be patient, give me abit of time to be able to go through all of them, before you reapply, as you may not need to =)

If you are unsure if this includes you, post here on this thread, and I will get back to you asap.

The minimum 10 day period for pending applications is now reduced to 7 days (1 week) effective immediately!

The change has been made, to help allow for those players who are not a "forum" kind of person.

Krueger, Tonic and myself agree that as long as the application is there, and minimal bans/infractions, there should be no reason why the person should not be allowed to join just because they don't get as involved in the forums as the rest of us.

I agree with Becca. I'm active in game and hardly a forums person. I check forums and post once in a while, but I don't post very regularly.

i think it should be reviewed if theyve made an effort because if there is not effort they shouldnt be accepted if there is a little bit of effort it should be fine

it's for everyone, but like i said, be patient and let me get my downtime playing gg, then i'll get stuck into the applications and updating them as they need to be updated, then everyone will know exactly where they stand with their applications.

like i said in my post i completely disagree with this decision as the 20 useful posts defined whether you actually wanted to be in dtk (e.g getting active posting doing what ever it takes etc.) it seperated those people from the people who just wanted the skin and tag. i think it should be bought back or modified...

I'm with Elite on this. The 20 useful posts actually showed that people wanted to be apart of the community for all the right reasons, not just for the skins. Yes this is a good method of expanding the community but was the 20 useful posts really that hard to begin with?
Though i do accept the decision and i'm sure it will be a positive step forward for the community.

I agree.

DTK has built itself a good reputation for being welcoming, friendly and generally trollfree (except maybe Krezand) If there is no longer a filter for who gets in (other than actually getting caught for misbehaving) DTKs reputation could suffer from essentially rands misrepresenting DTK. Just because someone hasnt yet recieved a ban doesnt mean we want them in DTK...

I understand that not everyone is a forum person so how about a compromise where a joining player must receive a certain amount of vouches in their application from current DTK members in order to be accepted. This would stop the riff raff with no dedication to the community at all from joining while still allowing respected players who simply dont like forums to join.
