Suggestion - End of round MUTE

I am certain that all of you have noticed that EVERY single round, when it ends, is spammed by 5+ people on mic.

This is the reason I came up with this suggestion.

How would you all feel about EVERYONE being muted at the end of a round?
I myself quite like the idea, and have seen it on other servers. It will be much quieter, discourage a bit of mic spam, and hopefully MAKE MY HEAD HURT LESS.

So please vote for your favorite option of these.

Instead of a mute at the end of each round playing music like in gungame and conquest would discourage a lot of the mic spammers.

I fail to see how just adding music will stop the mic spam. There is never any mic spam in conquest anyway. If anything it would just be worse as you would have people yelling and then music ontop of that? I like my ears.
Both muting and music would be a great improvement.

There is no mic spammers on conquest cos most of the people who play it are mature, and don't do such childish stuff.

Music is a good idea, but muting everyone at the end of the round is kind of unnecessary in my opinion. I can see why people get annoyed by it, but muting is restricting the freedom of the players.. they just want to have a little giggle or laugh at the end of the round by shouting random crap. If you don't like the mic spam at the end of the round, then just take off your headphones or something, the end of a round is harmless except for the fact it kills your ears.

It's harmless, how can it be breaking a rule? it's after a round. If you don't like it just take off your headphones.

As you can see in the above poll result, the margin for a decision is quite close. For now I can even see that 'Leave it as it is' is winning, with such a close margin this will result in quite a number of unhappy people. If it was an overwhelming winning result for 'Muting', it would be a different story but it's not. I believe the rule for mic spamming was made so during gameplay people can hear the warden so orders can be followed. However, it's the end of the round, what's the big deal? if it's too noisy just take off your headphones because personally I can handle it and so does many other people.

'Restricting the freedom of the players is pointless', to a reasonable extent I understand you, if players were granted full freedom then players will just go rampant and mic spam all day but.. again, this is just the end of a round it brings no significant harm. Giving them just that freedom will keep them satisfied, why make a decision that will result in a lot of people being unhappy?

If you read NeZz's post properly he said the music was a good idea agreeing to the other suggestion to play music like at the end of gungame rounds, not hldj, I'm pretty sure and how are they breaking the rules by talking at the end of the round?

Yes you are right with most things, though the rule doesnt specify if its in general or just during the round.
IMO, i cant really see anyone being upset because they cant scream and shout at the end of the round, when instead they can listen to a song play. If you look at the other servers, there is no spam at all during the end, yet they do have music.
I never said i dont deal with it, because yeah i don't mind it at all. Rules are there for a reason, like you said.

@epik - i never actually said anything about Hldj. I just copied and pasted the rule. It also doesn't specify whether its in general or just during the game so you can't rule out either.

I'm pretty sure the rule specifies to end of game because if you are dead people alive can't hear you. Still it may be in general as it can happen to the dead people if they mic spam when they are a bored but I don't see this happen much. People are happy with the way it is how you can talk at the end of the round and if they take that away to play some music I don't think they won't get upset but they won't like it that much.

Like Cass has said, it has crashed the server. I'm sure people will be just as happy when they can listen to some epic music.

Rules can be clarified by whoever's in charge of them by changing it and making it more specific. People won't get REALLY upset because you cant scream or shout at the end of the round, but it gives them that little satisfaction from all the strict gaming previously. It's like coming back from work, your home you want to relax and do whatever you want unlike in your workplace environment.

Again as pointed out before, the margin currently is close so it'll result in quite a number of people being unhappy. Unless, it's a sweeping win for muting then yeah, I'll accept it since the majority wants it, but as of now, it's not.

And yes, I do agree this dicussion has its pros and cons.

Well to be honest, the rule is in the "General" section so i believe it will apply whether the game has just started or if it has just ended.

I also believe people mic spam just because they can. As an example, when T's are muted, you do not get people bitching and complaining during the game, so why would they once its over? If you take that away from them and replace it with music then i doubt they will be unhappy, though do correct me if i am wrong.
In the end, it will come down to what the people want, i personally don't mind either.
