Just wanted to let everyone know that there has been alot of abuse towards our female players online lately... I will easy voteban anyone who is doing this on whilst there is no admin on the server! Is this fair?

Maybe something less drastic like a kick for them to get the message and if they continue then a ban is required because it is abuse and sexism so it's safe to say repeat abuse is worth a ban I think.

Demo it bud then submit it to either an admin or sourceban.
I know what you mean though, I really don't see what I wrong with female gamers. If anything, there should be more.
EDIT: in reply to your question, yep I think its fair. DTK is a community, no one should be discriminated against because because because race or gender.

Mate it shouldn't matter whether the player is or isn't female, Abuse and trolling are against the rules of DtK so sex is not a huge factor her.

Demo it and send it in need proof if admin is not there

A votekick for abuse is perfectly acceptable imo (after a warning to the offender to stop).
However you should only be votebanning if the offender clearly doesn't get the message that the abuse will not be tolerated.
Make sure you demo serious abuse and notify an admin so they can take further action.

Remember to not use !cp when an admin is on

If someone is being abusive or just a plain jerk and will not quit it when asked, I feel by all means put up a vote, if others clearly agree they will be kicked and thus justice will be done. If the same person is constantly harassing you demo then submit. And if I'm correct, trolling is only "not" allowed on the Jail Break server I'm pretty sure. But hey, give the people a voice. 9 times outta 10 the general gamer willl kick jack offs at the first opportunity. but again the reminder that !cp is meant for DTK members use only. frustrating I know, but don't get yourself into trouble through some other idiots actions.

yeah i think that a simple kick would be in order and if it is persisted by the offender, demo it and further onto a admin to go into further action under rules accordingly by that admin.
but demo from the start and record until it they finally gets the message.

I actually agree with ya Micky Boy. A lot of abuse happens to girls on the office server when there are no admins around.

Also in regards to demos, sure that will help but I'd still go with the temporary voteban. Faster and more effective - especially considering the abuser only needs a brief moment to do damage (and it can be difficult to record it lol).

I think the Voteban option should be taken down anyway! Votekick is adequate and bans need to be demoed and posted in sourcebans. I'll admit I have a few times meant to voteburn or votekick for certain behaviour and tend to type voteban by mistake, though I slightly suffer the retardation as Borat would say... Just my opinion anywho And on topic, slurs of any kinds aren't to be tolerated, especially girls! No wonder you don't find many announcing it, cos as soon as they do out come the wankers with sexists remarks or just plain foul mouthed berating! Except Carni, she's got the mouth of a trooper to back herself up lol ;P

vote kick is the first step if they will not stop if asked, vote ban after that (1 hour to cool down) if they come in again and keep it up call in a server admin or staff member to help out (or demo and submit to sb)

I guess to be honest though, in todays society, many forms of "abuse", "racism" and i guess " trolling" are considered humorous and only some take offense to them. it used to be really bad to use asian jokes whilst gaming but now pretty much "accepted" comedy, humour? Perhaps "girls" are just the latest craze regarding this type of humour? still if people are out of line, votekick will potentially provide you with the support and reasonable option. but if not a demo must be the way to go. I think its fantastic that there are girl/women gamers and i encourage it whole heartily. All you douches who like to attack/abuse/intimidate women/girls online i suspect are nothing more than lonely ugly
