    Are you using TPG/Vodafone/iinet/internode etc?
There are routing issues between those providers and all DTK servers.
Try a VPN (Cloudflare https://cloudflarewarp.com is free to use), or brag your ISP about the routing issues, or switch providers lol

    Hey Wrenchy,

If your ISP provider is not listed from AllenWOO's post above, then run a traceroute using the Nilla server IP 103.1.213.78

You can also run WinMTR and add the server IP,

Just to clarify, the issue is with TPG/iiNet/etc and GSL Networks. GSL Networks is the upstream provider (think ISP for large businesses) for Streamline Servers. DtK Servers (and majority of other servers in Australia) are hosted by Streamline.

When you connect to any server, the route your data follows is determined by your ISP. IF you connect to a Sydney server and you are located in Sydney, your ping is usually very low, as it's a short trip. But because GSL and TPG/iiNet/etc are not playing nice with each other, when you connect to a server on GSL Networks and you are with TPG/iiNet/etc, instead of a Sydney->Sydney trip , it becomes a Sydney->US->Sydney trip, resulting in a higher ping.

Let me ask you this. If I have a ping of 70-80, should I change my provider? Or is it not a big deal?
