I don't think there's much else to say about the matter?
I've been going on this server since 2017, and it has been smoke grenades only the entire time.
It would be fun to replace the smokes, or at least reintroduce some flash bangs to alter the gameplay a little.
The early days of CSS had a different dynamic, and whilst I can say for sure that the DTK deathmatch is superior to the old IGN (from memory, the biggest in Aust back in the day) servers, sometimes a little change can go a log way to making some more enjoyable games.
I agree that it’s good to introduce new ideas for overall gameplay experience and the community. While personally without prejudice I don’t think replacing flash bang with smoke will make much of any difference although I do not particularly detest the use of flashbangs. That being said I do know of folks who detest and find using flash a pain to deal with during gameplay. To each his own, your idea ain’t wrong and so does the folks who aren’t into using flashbangs.
Ultimately, we would do what needs to be done!
I'll toss them into events for a while, I wouldn't mind swapping mainly because smokes are fairly boring. I'd prefer flashes to smokes tbh but it's not a hill I'd choose to die on.

A random chance to get either a flashbang or a smoke wouldn't be bad in my opinion. It'll certainly help in dealing with those players that like to sit on one place with snipers or camp the garage stairs all the time, might even help deal with Knight-Ops when he's being a colossal pest with the golden gun too.
I’d suggest disabling team flash at a minimum and randomise either flash or smoke at the same randomisation that smokes are currently allocated.
I don’t like smokes or flash bangs and feel as though they both detract from Deathmatch, the current smoke implementation being manageable.
It shouldn’t hurt to incorporate the idea in an event and it may even be possible to modify a settings such as radius, duration or perhaps boost the damage from 1hp up to 150hp (death on impact) etc.

Those are some excellent ideas in my opinion, I think I'll ask Squall to see if they can be implemented for an event. I think no team flash would make it a team bonus, and a short duration would be great if it's possible to implement - you don't want it to go on too long given the pace of DM and a short flash would force the thrower to charge the area flashed quickly, which is itself a risky move. It could mix up the game dynamic a little. I don't know if they can be done but will enquire and put on a test event if possible.

Happy to have an event with as many flashes as you guys want. Hold it once a month if you like. I might even show up once in a while for it (doubtful). But as a permanent thing I will forever vote no on Office DM.
It is not needed. I don't believe for a second that it would be an improvement to our server.
As stated by the grandpas here, the only feasible idea is to implement flashbangs limited to Office DM events not as a permanent swap.
It doesn't alter the gaming experience neither creates significant impact to our server and community as a whole.
As for shiftyyy, no flashbangs for your chicken rescue it would be too easy for ya to get away with em chooks lmao
