Stuck on spectate?

I joined the server tonight and can't get off spectate, trying chat shows me on SourceTV. Anyone got a solution? It's bloody annoying.

Yes, I have tried hitting M, thank you.

Just want to ask, you joined through your favorites tab and not the spectator tab on the server browser right?

sounds like a Steam browser list issue where you get connected to the SourceTV of the server instead of the actual server.

connect ipAddressHere in console for the time being

Same problem exactly. I can only join a server if someone on my friends list is already on that server and i click on them and join their game Ill try unclicking the beta thingy and see what happens.

Yup, opted out and did a test connection, it worked fine. There's the solution - opt out of beta.

I had this happen to me and I couldn't play for a few weeks, if managed to fix itself and I never knew why. Thats for the info in this thread, I'll be sure to use it if it ever happens again!
