I played CS source years ago and only just got back involved, as an older player I am surprised how young this crowd seems (I'm 39). I am working at getting a mic sorted as I would love to chime in on some of the convo Ive heard in game.

Thanks everyone, I am trying to sort out a mic. I play CS on a surface tablet and it has a built in mic (realtek HD) but wont seem to work in-game. Does anyone have any suggestions or do I need to buy a separate mic. I will need to get a wireless mic as my tablet only has 1 usb port currently used for a mouse.
Hey Mate. Im sure someone on here can help with your mic Issue. Scan the forums and if there isn't an answer already start a thread, there is heaps of helpful dudes and ladies in here itching to show off their tech skill and knowledge.

assuming your mic works with other programs and that you've checked your in-game settings Try reinstalling the latest version of your audio driver.
Have seen you on Gungame, welcome back to the game!
After downloading the latest drivers etc. I bought a $5 mic headset from officeworks and it works a treat!
