To be fair life happens and ppl bail for various reasons!
However, when a player doesn't turn up to an event/comp. it can lead to issues for the smooth running of the event, it's postponement or worst case scenario forfeiture/cancellation, ruining it for those who had attended or organised the event.
At the very least, we only ask that you notify your team Rep/Captain or staff/council of you being unavailable.
Therefore, players that miss matches frequently may be placed on a blacklist or low priority system where they are only able to sub in to prove themselves.
