for all the times when people spam 1 and we get shitty maps... or that glitch happens and the same map repeats itself...
If possible of course...

if it were to come back there'd have to be some limitations put on it, like for example: if a player has reached level 15 then no rtv can be made.

We have never run rtv on gg for that exact reasion. player is about to win and everyone rtv's on the player, for people like me that dont win often, it would break my heart.
that's why i suggested have some limitations built into it so it can't be abused like that =P
I would second it if you could make rtv limited to the first minute of gameplay. That would prevent any griefing
I agree with becca, and yeah it breaks my heart too krueger :'(
i totally agree with my main man [DtK] [C] F. Krueger it would make mw raGE so bad i'd be called the incredable bulk opsss i mean hulk
sorry or any spelling miss happs
I put a poll up for this very thing ages ago and it pretty conclusively won support for an RTV for 1.5 minutes on map load option.

Perhaps in future when game changing polls like this are put up, when they close/get conclusive results it could be added to some sort of register so that admins can act on it. Would save a fair bit of disk space over time (on the server hosting these forums) in terms of the same polls/suggestions coming up time and time again.
^^ or these sort of topics could be sticked so they dont get lost
if many people have views about the certain topic
Hi guys and girls I just have a suggestion for the map voting. I dont know if it can be done but here it goes. Make the number 1 selection a random selection out of the 5 selectable maps that come up for voting so if you are a 1 spammer you will get a random map selection out of the 5 maps available and for those that actually would like to vote for a specific map out of the 5 choices that come up then they would have to select the corresponding number of their chosen map which is going to be 2 3 4 5 or 6 by using this method you are eliminating the chance of everybody voting for the number 1 map which may not be desirable to everyone.
Good idea mircan, because it is random the previously strong vote of 1(or 3) would turn into 25% of each of the maps, favouring players who actually vote.
Example:
2 players care about the map they are going to play and press 3(de_dust2)
18 players don't care about the map they are going to play and press 1(random)
4 votes, results are:
2.25% + 0 = 25%
3.25% + 10% = 35%
4.25% + 0 = 25%
5.25% + 0 = 25%
And the map which people actually voted for would be picked and rtv/map rotations would be highly dependent on people actually picking maps, causing the rest of the community to realise that they should vote too.
gimmie a day or 2 and ill have you a modded RTV plugin with a cvar so you can set the amount of time allowed an rtv can be started, had a quick squiz at the code, easy as pie to mod
either that or i can do you a custom verison of GG and RTV, i can make a new cvar to switch the RTV plugin on and off, and then call it from within gungame, i.e warmup round startsl, RTV is active, warmup finishes RTV disabled, or ill just do all of them so you can work out whats best, maybe 30, secs warmup is to short for voting?
lemme know, ill have a play anyway
ive done the RTV sid eof things, just need to put up a server to test, maybe tomorrow if i get time.
awesome Bonkaz. If you can email me the pluging when its done Ill run it on the server.
