    Fire season 2019/2020

    No fires near me so far. I'm a good distance from any hilly and forested areas so will hopefully escape the worst of it, but the local pucker factor is high. The nearest uncontrolled burns are in Batlow and Tumut, down to the south east, and I'll be heading down there tomorrow morning to be a bloody hero (this phrase trademarked by every media outlet in Australia) on the back of an rfs truck. I expect plaudits and the fawning admiration of you nubile young things when I return.



    How are the rest of you doing? Is everyone safe?
