DtK Server League 2015 Commencement date + Teams Info

Dear DtK Community,

DtK Server League 2015 will officially commence next week. Servers participating will be announced in this thread and this week will be utilized by the team representatives to contact players who signed up and confirm their availability. There will be 2 weeks of preseason matches that will be used as practice matches, these matches will not award points and there will only be a single sign up thread for preseason matches. Each server needs to play at least 1 presason match to continue participating in the server league.

Preparation Week 1: 24th March - 29th March [Week to be used to organize teams,update server league information/threads -rules,rep info,map list etc]
Preseason Match Week 1 : 30th March - April 5th
Preseason Match Week 2 : April 6th - April 12th
Server League Match Week 1: April 13th - April 19th

I am not aware of that arrangement.


Last year we had 2 individuals in charge of managing server teams - a server rep and a server liaison (usually a server admin + a volunteer handled these). This year both roles are being consolidated into a single position i.e Server rep. This position is being assigned to server admins themselves as they would know the players on the servers and they would have access to critical information like sign ups which is visible only to admins. (and yes Pepsi is a Surf Trial JA)

Ya know what, I think Ham would be better off with this one, he did organize the team and frankly I don't even know whose on it. If possible would it be allowed to pass over the role of this to Ham or have him as a liason? I understand this may be a slight problem but he did do a lot for surf and organized the team in the first place. On my side i'm happy to pass the role on to Ham but if this ain't an option i'll try my best to get the team sorted.

Also ik Pepsi is trial JA, I was the one who told him 2 go for it and seeing that he is the rep I was like ayyyyyyyyyyy gw but btfu m8 mai team. In all seriousness I don't mind, I'll help Pepsi if he wants but Pepsi is smart and capable enough to organise it on his own.

There seems to be some confusion evident in the previous 2 replies.

For clarification purposes this was sent to server reps regarding a portion of their role:

- server rep participation: Server Rep is a management role. You yourself do not need to actually play in the matches (would be good if you did though). Server Rep is simply a server admin who manages the server team. You can assign a player to be the team captain who will act as a leader during the matches,report scores to you and help you manage the team. (You are free to assign yourself as team captain if it makes things easier for you).

This isn't aimed at any1 specific, (because they already asked me about it), but if you are still interested in participating and didn't sign up just simply ask the representative of the server you wish to play for and I'm sure they can sort something out for you and fit you into the team list.
