This event was originally suggested by [SA] Delta
One year later I think dtk should run this event again as it was a great success under the management of [EM] Ladbot69
If you're unaware of how this event works, it was a series of pugs held on our csgo pug server. The teams were decided by each players state of birth. Last year there were two NSW teams a VIC team a QLD team and International team. The tournament was run in a double knockout stage (ie. you had to lose two games to get knocked out)
Each team had a team captain, which was decided by the event manager. The team captain had to discuss and decide on his own team selection and map vetos etc.
Some issues that came up during last years tournament was the rule about subs.
-Subs can be used for a team, it is preferred that a sub is from the correct state (ie. someone from Vic can sub for Vic)
-However, in extreme circumstances an interstate player can sub for a team
-Just remember, all team substitutions must be approved by the event manager
Another suggestion would be to update the map list on the csgo pug server to the current rotation that is used on matchmaking. (Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, Cache, Mirage, Overpass, Cobblestone) I would also recommend adding maps that are still played by competitive teams (train, season, tuscan) By having this maps you will have a more diverse map pool allowing for more interesting and exciting gameplay.
I hope this event can go ahead, im sure [S] Delta would like to see his idea take off into something cool.
I would think that [V] Ladbot69 and [JEDI] Topcat would love to commentate again and provide entertainment to [V] Pimpact as he can pretend he is betting skins on his own games
If you want to see what the event was like last year, all the games are up on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...H_dtJLtqQkHZYb
Also i would be willing to run this event if people wanted me to.
