Hi everyone,
I'd just like to start with saying how organised and mature this community is; it's nice to play and converse with server members that aren't all 12 year olds attempting to 360 noscope me across the map. I've already been playing on the Gungame Deathmatch server for several months now and I'm really starting to feel as if I genuinely want to be involved.
I initially bought CS:S earlier this year, being that it was apparently the best Source game for Garry's Mod (textures, etc) after watching a group of YouTubers play Murder and TTT. It was only recently that I had bought a new PC that could handle some of these types of games (yes, my last laptop was not too flash) after deciding to get into some more complex video editing and music production. After playing Garry's Mod for a few hours, I got sick of it being that I could find no decent servers within 100ms ping.
It was months later that I was bored one night and opened Steam to look at my games library. CS:S caught my eye; it was the only game I had not played. It was only by chance that I decided to sort the server list by name, seeing the DtK servers at the top. After playing Black Ops II a bit on the Xbox, I chose the same Gungame server that I play on religiously today. After playing a single round, I knew that I'd be playing quite a bit more on this server.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I just thought a bit of an insight would help others get to know me a bit better. Thanks everyone for making the community the way it is and I'm looking forward to playing Counter Strike with you all for many more times to come
