I think this topic is very important considering all of us obviously use a computer and theres alot of shit out there trying to infiltrate our computers and privacy.

Recently I've been getting unusual activity on my computer. At first I had a random message saying my computer will shut down in 1 min which was so out of the blue. Secondly i get a blue screen saying my computer was vulnerable to an attack because of something i forgot. will try to find the blue screen snapshot.

Thirdly just recently I was on Chrome surfing while my computer just started to freeze. I could move my cursor but it was very laggy as if my screen was being recorded or something. And everytime I clicked it made 2 beeps in my headphones that sounded so suspicious like someone was monitoring my screen. So i had to turn off from the switch since i couldnt click on anything.

It might be just me being so sus at everything but has anyone else had these weird problems with their pcs?
And can anyone recommend the best security software i should install or any actions i can take to ensure my computer is secure. Thanks very much for taking the time to read my shit.

Heh. I ran 2 years without an Anti-Virus :3

Sounds weird, does your virus scanner pick anything up if you do a deep search? Sounds like you've got a rat. :/

Yea i was full on like wtf, it wasnt like normal beeps you get from the old computers, some weird recording beeps, i was shitting myself

Had a mate who didnt have antivirus, he was a website developer and he managed to infect his website and anyone else who visited it also got infected. So then on he had to get antivirus lol

If you're not a dud you can run a computer, 'online' with no anti virus...

Either way, it's not hard to fresh install anyway.

If you can resist clicking the "FREE" links, you can get away without an anti-virus. I just use Malware-Bytes for a scan now and then. If you want a key for premium, add me on steam. No real need for firewall software with routers these days, they are good enough to thwart off the kid in the basement.

The bigger threat here as a gaming community is DDoS. Not viruses.

Not even gunna lie, have been DDoS'd so many times. But, this is only due to not thinking I'd actually BE DDoS'd. It's rather easy to prevent, if you're looking at preventing before it happens (ie. going into a ladder/competition match etc)

Some kids just can't handle losing...

I recommend Kaspersky PURE 3.0!
An anti virus is essential now days, you can pick one up for no more than $30. No harm in having one only beneficial. Like i said Kaspersky PURE is the best, it doesn't slow down your pc and has a easy to use interface.
