I think he means when you select a match type, you cant select a specific map. Only choose a group of maps, of which you could end up on any of the maps from that group. Its only in competitive that you can be totally map specific I think.

Ohhhh. I only play comp so didnt know.
I usually unselect Dust2 from comp cos i get sick of playing that.

if you wish to play specific maps when playing CS:GO, simply select any map on the gamemode you want. Then when you get ingame go into console (`) and type "map <name>" e.g map de_dust2
