CS:GO JailBreak Suggestion?

I do know DtK is majority CSS but I have been playing a lot of JailBreak on CSGO and there is only one Australian server that I could find and is always full and a lot of fun. There is all the plugins like our CSS server (!lr, skins, etc..) and some pretty good looking maps with things that I haven't seen done before on CSS.

Just a suggestion, tell me what you think.

I agree that the market is quite open for JB regarding CSGO, but I think Squall places server security above going for all styles of server.
If the plugin cant be verified as secure, then its unlikely DtK will have it implemented.
Its not a bad idea at all, and I for one am keen to see if we could have one in the maybe not-so-distant future.

It's interesting that they've developed to incorporate the game mode into it now. Might have to check it out.

Me, I believe Counter-Strike Source as a whole ain't doing so hot for the demographic JB or other modified servers appeal to.. I could be wrong since I don't focus on the other communities or statistics on similar servers but if we were to move JB into GO I think it'd be a fresh new outlook and could bring in major numbers.

Maybe a different server you went on but this server that I have been playing on quite a lot is very organised and professional for example mic spammers, free kills, type !w to take over warden (but DtK does just say it). You will have to get on and try it.

Also not to remove the CS:S JailBreak server as JB and other servers (mini games.. you understand) is still getting good numbers every night., I was just suggesting to try and have one on CS:GO as well for trial.

Yeah that wasn't what I was sayin' - It was the first few weeks that CS:GO was released that JB was terrible since proper plug-ins hadn't been added, so I said it was nice to see it established now.

Change is always happening so I'm optimistic if DTK actually ends up coppin' itself a server on GO for JB, I'd be on that shit.

JB plugins are now pretty much compatible with CSGO, so it isn't an issue anymore.

The main concerns with a DtK CSGO JB Server has mainly been with splitting numbers or killing off one of the servers.

DtK has been known best for providing the best Gungame server, the best DM servers and for a while the best JB server. However currently things have changed a bit. We operate the best CSS Dust2 Server [DM] in Australia which gets full almost every night. So there wasn't ever any issue of splitting our numbers if we started a CSGO D2 server. Both our CSS and CSGO Dust2 servers are currently ranked #1 in Australia. Same with Gungame, our css gungame server is alive and kicking while the CSGO Gungame server is ranked #1 in Australia.

With JB , things become a bit complicated. Numbers fluctuate a lot and there are quite a few other communities that run JB servers as well, not necessarily the same way we do ours, all have unique features and for the most part, have been doing much better than us. Introducing a CSGO JB server is a big gamble for us and not in the traditional sense. Either it is successful or it isn't is not the big concern, it is what effects it has on the CSS JB Server. It's possible that some of the player base might move to CSGO. Then there is the issue of admins. DtK CSGO Dust2 has 1 admin and DtK CSGO Gungame has no admins ATM however both can function and remain #1 ranked servers without admins. The same can't be said for a DtK CSGO JB server. Roleplaying servers require admins and due to the varied gameplay, it is difficult to find good admins. What will most likely happen is css admins stepping down and requesting csgo admin transfer. So there will be the issue of both admins and players moving over to CSGO which isn't a bad thing for the CSGO server but doesn't bode well for the CSS server. Then finally , the issue of resources, we simply don't have unlimited server resources. Currently the DtK JB server is empty and is using up more resources than the Dust2 server which has 20+ players. Factor in that a CSGO server uses 3-4 times more resources than a css server - operating a css and csgo JB server, well yeah going to put strain on the servers. At some point in time, a decision might have to be made which most likely will involve shutting down the server. And once this happens, it is pretty much it. You shut down the only Dust2 server in Australia , start it up again after 3 months, people will come back to play on it. You shut down a server that offers a mod that is also offered by other communities with established player bases, the chances of reviving it further down the track will be very unlikely or impossible.


So there you have it, some of the reasoning behind why we didn't jump into CSGO JB when CSGO came out and why Gungame and Dust2 were the preferred candidates over JB. These are not reasons for why we won't get a csgo server but reasons for why we have been hesitant.


Will DtK get a JB CSGO server? Very likely.

Man, it's inevitable that people will sooner or later move on to what's popular, so I can appreciate a movement when or if the time comes.
CSGO appeals to a newer audience of gamers who really ain't gave older school FPS a chance so I mean - there's always a silver lining wit that type of business.

I'm stoked for whatever happens and ima just keep holdin it down where ever I'm needed.

Half the Plugin is disabled and it's unplayable, in my opinion. No knockback and other issues. Not enjoyable.

Although, the Aussie server for it is quite popular. :3

I don't think anyone can see the issue with it, seeing as there isn't anything on csgo to really compare it to (to my knowledge), still don't understand how anyone can find it fun at all though.....

I don't know either. It baffles me. They recently upgraded to a 64 slot server too :3
