Server #16 Deathmatch Trial [Fixed maps - Aztec,Nuke,Inferno,Dust]

Dear DtK Community,


We will be trialling a fixed rotation deathmatch mode on Server #16. The server will feature default maps [Aztec,Nuke,Dust,Inferno] and will have similar settings/features as the Dust2 server. There has been significant interest shown for maps like aztec,dust on our other dm servers.


Fixed rotation means that only a set map rotation will be used (4-5 maps only) - currently this is aztec,nuke,inferno,dust. There will be no custom maps added to this server. The server is aimed at competitive players. For small-mid sized maps + custom maps, Server #2 already provides this.

This sounds like some fun and a bit different. Could I suggest, since you said "4 or 5" maybe adding ASSault into the mix at some stage. Doesn't have to be straight away or anything, I just like that map.

Thanks for the server Squall, it's pretty good but there's a few issues I came across while playing that would be easily remedied and just wanted you to know,

- Noblock is not on so there is collision with other players, not sure if this is intended for now but if the server does get packed, it'll be pretty brutal
- Friendly Fire is enabled currently except when you type "ff" it shows as the setting disabled but you can still team-kill.
- All Talk isn't on, not sure if this is also intended considering this is in style of the Dust 2 DM server.

Other than these, I really love this new server and do intend on playing it more often I just wanted to let you know of these issues in case no one else has mentioned or noticed. Thanks Squall.

Cheers for the feedback, some of the leftover plugins/settings from the Nilla mode were still active and have been disabled.

I love the sound of this its more of a competitive play which i love, i think maybe we should not have health packs on this one as sooo many people horde them and well think just having normal health that u start with would me sufficient.. i will try and get some people from the dust 2 DM to come over and try this server out and give some feedback but think the less plugins the better for competitive play maybe if it dont work maybe a non deathmath would be good like planting the bomb ect

So far i'm yet to see an actual player here. Only encountered the OP bots so far. Fun to play these maps as a break from office. I reckon leave it as a DM, but add in the bomb planting anyway for an extra challenge. Like the hosties in office dm. Its a harder challenge to plant / defuse in a dm.

But overall enjoying #16 so far.

Im down on a few new maps now and again, been on dust2 a while now and change is happydays, im sure with the more familiar names on there the sheep will follow.

Already had a few good shots and a knife or two on link and Killershane today and was good fun.
