Well the window thread closed before I got a chance to post so here is my 2 cents.

I really like the idea! Especially when the box was visible so that you could see that it was there and a no go zone.

that door on the T side is a real choke point giving campers plenty of opportunity and arguably a real advantage especially when there is more than one camper.

So nice one to the team for that!

The cube mod was down last night and within minutes the campers were back in force and the Ts were complaining about them. It is frustrating maybe just another brick high on the window sill would work so if you are crouching you cant see over and if you are standing you would present a bigger target and your aim would not be as refined.

Why don't ya's try and bring in an element from inside the game.
Things we took out like smoke nades and flashbangs.

Consider the para or stick 3 awps in the vending machine.
Not stuff that is altered outside of normal game play.

Maybe even change terrorist spawns closer to the window if need be.
Or push ct spawns away further if you feel so strong about the window campers.

The game is called counter strike for a reason.
If your strikes are not countering your opponents you need to change something in your style.

If the cts managed to get 3 awps. They will need to be hunted down.

If you want to change up the spawns even chuck cts in at snowman.

And terrorists in the yard where backway stairs are.


Though that might change office a bit to much.

Also instead of trying to sort out an almost impossible attempt at balance.
We have other office maps.

Maybe changing the maps every once and a while you maybe wouldn't feel so flustered with the current issues you have with the default office map.

Add sticky nades even. Or add more explosive damage to the nades for the window campers.

We could even start to have guides on how to deal with certain difficulties for office death match if we really need them.

Awesome idea! Stops window campers well and i find it fun just walking around it and not being able to shoot its fasicinating. A cool feature that keeps office different and unique.

But window camping isn't illegal. It's frowned upon like masturbating on an airplane.

Its not illegal but it can get annoying for Ts spawning and just running into window campers. Thats just my opinion, it helps new players on the server too

Office Players have voiced their concerns over this issue in-game and on the office forums numerous times.

It is overdue that we address this and are currently engaged in trialing viable solutions to make the server more fun for everyone involved new players and regulars alike.

Man this idea is horrible and as rusty said its breaking even dtk rules and you are killing the server

Office DM is a heavily modded server, for instance there are no smoke or flash nades, no Paras, Dak Dak's, and only max 2 AWPs at a time from a vending machine Etc...

Any and all mods made to DtK servers are designed to enhance game-play inline with what the majority of players find enjoyable.

I'd be more inclined to listen to Zone the OP because he actually played for over 35 minutes "accessing" the situation during the initial experiment as opposed to your total of 3 minutes

(a full round on Office is actually 4 minutes) .

Zone is also a regular player on Office DM with a Total of 2,013 Connects amounting to 48 days total playtime. As opposed to your 262 Connects totaling 2 days.

You're entitled to your opinions Slothz, but are you also able to assist us by being a little constructive with your feedback.

Perhaps if you played on Office DM more you might be able to generate some suggestions as others players have offered both in-game and on the forums to address this very real and
legitimate issue of serial repeat offender T spawn window campers on Office DM, who only offer the thinnest possible sliver of their player models head for a target (You cant even see their faces).

This is a good idea anything that requires a CT to present more of themselves as a target whilst they fire into T spawn from that window ledge would work.
When the server is busy and T's get Spawn camped/raped new players joining T's just get fed up and leave whilst their still trying to navigate the weapons select menu.

And because of those things taken out. Does it not hint towards maybe those things helped sorting out some of the issues the server has now.
But instead we are trying to bring in a change that is outside of normal gameplay in which i consider cheating.

If that shipping container is raised even a little. It's still cheating.

This has been trialed before to help with the window camping, but even a little extra time pushes the advantage away too much for T's. With longer spawn protection, if a T is fast enough, they can make it to the window with the protection still on, and by this time kill 4-5 CTs easily. This then makes it much much harder for CTs to hold backyard at all.

We are trying to make it so that its only stopping camping at the right side (from Ts perspective) window, but allowing CTs to still hold the left side and all of the backyard. We do not what any advantage to be had by either team, but for the game to be more of a back and forth battle to hold the choke points, rather than Ts being lemmings until a lucky nade lands and Ts actually push.

TBH I'm surprised it doesn't work. With added spawn protection, the benefits should be felt by both sides. It should rid CT camping T spawn through windows, while also helping to prevent Ts camping CT spawn at Long. If anything it should help encourage more closer battles as both teams will be protected long enough to reach the choke points.

It is sound. But it kills spawn killing. Which is part of deathmatch.
