DtK Rust Server - ONLINE

By now you might've heard about a DtK Rust server and it's true DtK has a Rust server. It is only a TRIAL server so it may not stay around forever. Rust is not a free game, it costs $20 and is in it's alpha stage but it is well worth the money.

Rust is a mix between DayZ, Minecraft and Stalker where you have to survive against the infected and build bases, find loot and make friends or enemies.

To connect to this server, press f1 to open console,
type in net.connect 119.252.190.247:28465





Active:
-Door Sharing: You can now share doors with your friends. Type /share name to allow your friends to open/close your doors and /unshare name to remove the privilege.

-Private Message System: You can now PM your friends on the server. type /PM name message

Base Alarms: Alerts player if someone is breaking into their base. (Monitors doors,barricades,etc)

Groups: Allows players to create groups. Group members can chat with each other and see online statuses of fellow members;

gwho - See which group members are online
/g "Message" - Group chat


/gcreate - Create a group
/gdelete - Delete a group
/ginvite Playername


Being Implemented:

-Starter Kits: New players will spawn with a better outfit and survival gear. (armor,weapon,healthpack,etec).

Crafting Improvements: Some changes will be made to improve the overall experience on the server e.g shorter crafting time

Improved Loot Tables: Changes will be made to loot drops of animals,zombies,etc to make it more rewarding.

-Coordinate System to find friends
- Day / Night Control
- Kills announced on Global Chat (X killed Y)

Killed a zombie.

Could be steam itself. Whwn it updated last maybe a file was corrupt. Have you tried repairing steam?

well 0 of the files have ever made it to my PC, so i am not sure about updates.
I am going to try installing by booting my computer into Safe Mode + Networking.
will post results.

The Rust Server now has the location plugin, you can type /location and it will give your coordinates. This can be very useful for finding your friends on the server

Copy paste the coordinate on rustnuts.com and it will mark your location on the map.


A teleport mod will be added soon. This will allow players to send teleport requests to their friends and get teleported to them if they accept.

A few of the DtK players are making a good effort to try to revolutionise the server in an attempt to make KOS'ers frowned upon on the server.
Theres quite a large alliance at the moment ran by a few DtK members that are trying to stop these bandits.
The server is PVP so theres absolutely no stopping bandits and all that, but its good fun preaching, killing and raiding bandits.

Alot of the players dont KOS anymore so thats a great start in terms of turning the server into a good friendly community.
Of course there are the usual bandits but hopefully later on, we'll be able to eradicate those bandits. That should be fun if we ever reach that point.
They're making a good effort to try to make it a noob friendly server, you should definitely have a go at the server during peaktimes when we're all online.

I usually play myself because no one in dtk really plays, but once i found the very few that do i had great fun last night, infact it was the most fun i had because i was actually able to play with other people. It definitely is a great game, would recommend it to everyone!!!

First time playing:

Spawned in and typed /location to get co-ords so Krez could know where I was, turned out to be close to him. Went to a base. Got some guns. Saved Krez's life from a bear and a wolf. Held up a naked Bambi and lost another one when we were following him to his base. Was better game than I was expecting, but not the best basic survival game.

The games name should of been Nude Chicken.
You spend most of your time trying to get chicken or protect your chicken.
Bear tastes of chicken
Deer tastes of chicken
Chicken tastes of chicken.
The other part of the game is trying to keep pants on.... Why is there a shortage of pants? Why do you wake up in a field aged 40 and your naked and cold.
Was there a rave the night before everyone got on the gear and lost their pants.
Its not a game about the end of the world its about a music festival gone wrong....
