hell yeah thats sick thanks for the find bauxe cheers mate
I think this is a great step forward for gaming seeing as Valve is the top distributor in video games for PC. I'd be interested in seeing what other features come with the OS, or if it is just dedicated to Steam. Since it's based on Linux it could be further modified for other peoples' needs.

Signature needed an update. It's 2019 and I'm caught up in Sydney life and work now.

Yeah, I would definitely use it.
I have been thinking about building a mATX or even ITX computer to permanently sit at my TV for use with the Big Picture.
I would probably also install Win7 on a separate partition on the same HDD, as I think this Linux based SteamOS will not have 100% support for all games. However what it will mean is that the OS is dedicated for gaming so there are potential performance increases that may be seen.
Im quite interested to see what the verdict is as this OS is build purely for games for the ground up.

Looks cool.
But it seems to be trying to make PC gaming into Console gaming. I have a Xbox, Desktop & Laptop to game on.
Yet again it might be good for people who want to sit back on a nice couch & play instead of on a computer chair.
My computer chair is comfy so no need for that & + i play better.
So PC gamers laugh & insult console players but now they're becoming console users ?
PC gaming is the best but i like console too.
Tbh i probably would have no need for it because on PC i usually only play games that are only on PC or much better on PC & 27" monitor is enough for me when it comes to PC gaming.
As for console i have a 51".
