Guide to setting up personal config in CS:S ??????????

Guys, i'm trying to set up my config so i can have all the rates etc loaded automatically and not have to type them in every bloody time.

I've goggled it and tried to follow the steps they have given, i.e creating a autoexec.cfg and shit but it still doesn't seem to work...

I've even un-installed Steam and re-installed it to clear the files and hope that there was something messy in there...

Please help!

edit:

Try one of the following


1. Don't use autoexec.cfg, simply use config.cfg. Copy the rates you added to autoexec.cfg and paste it right at the end of config.cfg


2. Add this to config.cfg

bind key "exec autoconfig.cfg"

e.g bind p "exec autoconfig.cfg"

Whenever you join a server, simply press the binded key and it will load all your rates

To add onto Squalls reply, you can name the file anything.cfg and if you are using a dynamic background (Click here if you dont know what that is) you can use Autoexec.cfg as it will automatically load when the client is launched.

Cheers guys, in the end i just ended up downloading some pro guys config and am using that. Feels amazing now.

Chances are, you were saving it as autoexec.cfg.txt, not autoexec.cfg
