PsCS3 help!

Hey guys, today ive been using photoshop cs3 and when i selects a colour it turns out like a grayscale colour, the thing is i cant find out how to change that nor how it happened.
If u have advice please share it with me!!!!
Ps: ill be posting more of my gfx work soon

when you made the document you set the color profile as CMYK/grayscale make the profile RGB for web related stuff. its happened to me several times because i dont check the color profile

if you look at the document you are working on check the window of that document, an example that it will state:

Untitled-2 @ 100% (Gray/8)

i dont think so, because i tried restarding photoshop and opened a few windows, but i''ll keep an eye on that

because i got cs3 free with my laptop and i dont wanna pay for cs6 or get the trial

I get the problem all the time. Go to:
Image>Mode>RGB Colour.
and poof.
