DtK Rank Representative Nominations

Dear DtK Community,

As you all are aware, the promotions process is in progress. We are doing the promotions quite differently this year. There will be more community involvement in the process, however the type of involvement will differ from previous promotions.

With regards to current promotions, what we are looking for is nominations from the community for DtK members to represent each DtK Rank. Ideally 5 members to represent each rank - Neophyte(5), Member(5),Trooper(5), Veteran(5), Jedi(5). (25 total)


A member can only represent the the current rank they hold e.g a Veteran can only be a rep for the Veteran Rank. (while they can only represent their own ranks, their input is not limited in this manner and will apply to all ranks)

Please don't just nominate your friends. You would want to nominate someone who;

-Is active on forums and on the servers (most important quality)
-Knows you and the members of the rank they will represent
-Someone who isn't biased and whose input will be neutral
-Has time. (there will be quite a bit of work involved with being a Rep, for the duration of the promotion process)

I actually left for a valid reason i reckon, otherwise i probably wouldnt have been given jedi.

OT: Great feature, i really like how it supports staff stuffs!
However
1.) i don't see how it's beneficial for a [N]eophyte Rep as they're (from my latest knowledge) promoted regularly if not broken any criteria,
2.)the administrative team can help in this task alot aswell considering if you know a player plays on a server(s) you can merely check with them.
so the idea is that rep's would look out for other ranks similar to that of their own; or players in general?
3.) Wouldn't it make more sense to name and position reps in relation to server not rank?

Neophytes will be getting promoted to Member once they have served 3 months as Neo however this set of promotions have been delayed for a while now,so we have neophytes being that rank for over 6 months. Their input can be very important for the promotions which is why they arent being excluded this time. This will change when the 3 months as neo procedure goes into effect at the end of this set of promotions.
2.)the administrative team can help in this task alot aswell considering if you know a player plays on a server(s) you can merely check with them.

Admins will know members best,as they play on their servers. All admins will also be part of the promotions so they don't really need any nominations to be reps


so the idea is that rep's would look out for other ranks similar to that of their own; or players in general?



3.) Wouldn't it make more sense to name and position reps in relation to server not rank?

Admins already fill that role and they are repping their servers in the promotions process. We just want a equal spread from each rank
