Since I am getting multiple messages about this notification users are getting when trying to access the forums -
Yesterday, the web server that hosts this forum was moved to a new Dell server. This means that a IP change happened as well. (pretty much what the 'moving server page' says for some users)
Now when you enter any domain name into your browser e.g www.google.com , a Domain Name Server (DNS) resolves that domain name into an IP address , in this case the IP address for google's web servers. However since not everyone uses the same Domain Name Server, when IP Address changes happen for e.g Dtk Forums, it will take time for all of them to update to the new IP Address. So some of them are still going to the old IP address instead of the new one since they have the old IP in their cache.
For your friends that are not able to access the forums, you can suggest two things:
1. Follow the instructions given on the 'moving server page'
2. Use the Google DNS as your default DNS. (in most cases, using Google DNS speeds up your browsing , so it might be a good opportunity for you to switch to Google if you are having issues with your current DNS)
https://developers.google.com/speed/...dns/docs/using
3. (optional) Wait for your ISP DNS to update. It usually takes 48 hours.
Cheers
