is there any point of this any more? the MOTD/Ad at the start now goes for 10 seconds longer than the warm up round... We no longer have the option to RTV either since nobody can get in before the warmup round ends.

It was a temperamental fix. Instead of making a thread you could have put it in chatbox or messaged a JA, SA, S or C.

There is no longer a static timer with regards to the MOTD. Previously when you connected to the server and the MOTD window appeared, a static timer started right then. Even if the ad didn't load, you could close it after 25 seconds or so. So every time you connected to the server, you were able to play after having the MOTD window open for 25 seconds.
This is no longer the case. When you connect to the servers now, the timer starts when the AD has actually loaded and only lasts for the duration of the AD. You can close the MOTD once the AD has shown. Some of the longer waiting times some of you are mentioning is due to the ad loading time which is fully dependent on your connection speed. If you have a good connection speed, the ad will load faster and you will be able to close the MOTD faster.
As per my above post, the time MOTD is open depends on your computer/connection.
I have increased the warmup round time to compensate for slower players.
