Hi guys just think there should be a thread for some build wars idea's as I find it rather interesting.
1.) The Rusher/Defender system.

This system seem's to have no backing for me and i think that if you actually change some aspects of the game, this system would take affect.
Such as the 'defenders' have to 'hold' or survive (in compliance to the rules - the 'rushers' have to be able to get to you) for a certain amount of time, once the time is up, a certain team wins (idk how you'd set that but maybe slay all on the rushing team?)
And the rusher's, as to actually make them rush, and remove the sense of security and caution that makes around's go for 10 or more minutes, you allow them constant, instant (or delayed) respawns and a (or not a) unlimited money supply to allow them free weapon choice.
Otherwise i see this system as redundant, the rusher's simple have no gain or intention to 'rush'.

Although i don't really know how Buildwar's works, i'd also suggest a goal for both teams; hold the ball, capture the flag etc, but with the ability to build your own bases. it would be very fun just idea's.

and also with the who chooses to rush, i know it is chosen randomly but it always goes something like ct, ct, ct, ct and then t, or the other way around. It should be more just swapping every round etc ct, t, ct, t you get it.

This sounds like a good idea. i was on yesterday with some jb rands, but i joined late hence having to wait it out, i didnt mind it up until the point of 2 people alive (1 defender and 1 rusher) it seems to take the rushers 5 mins just to get to the base (after much goofy bhopping) and another 10 minutes to inspect for holes, then they're to scared to rush them, hence creating 15-20 minute long rounds.

Tl;dr imo the idea of 'Capture the Flag' or 'Holding the Ball' would be an effective way of givig rushers a motivation to rush, rush or lose. as apposed to rush or delay the round

The whole timing thing you got going on there is very opinion based; but i think you're trying to point out the amount of time it takes in a round currently for rushers to do something?
Just expanding, it's cool, but from reading that, i also find the build time is way to long, 5 minutes should be more than enough. with an added lock in spawn for 30 seconds until you buy your weapons (i forget to do that so many times)

Is there someone, preferably with knowledge and experience on a BW server who could post, detailing the nature of why other servers do?
Cos imo our current system has 0 initiative for either players to use the defender/rusher thingomobob.
I was also told that the random/dice roll to chose which team does what is broken or very uneven.
Maybe it'd be more preferable (via players on the server, who all the time have to play the cautious, annoying, rushing role) if the roles were swapped over every round?
