Hunger games server?

Okay so i was on JB..... yess and a thought poped into my head about maybe DTK could add another extrodinary server to their list by making a hunger games server.
The way this could work is every man for themselves or something, and we have these big maps with all types of terrains with traps and stuff. Just an idea that i thought could work well for the DTK community.

i personally think this is very cool but i dont personally think there is a hunger games mod (correct me if wrong) and it would take alot of coding.

Anyway - It sound's like a lot of work but out of interest. Would it be knives only or guns?

it would be both, i would have knives in the middle with maybe a gun or two, and the rest have grenades and guns scatered through the mountains and the treetops and along the sand on the beach and stuff

I don't think there is a map on a large enough scale to do such a thing, nor do I even think source is capable of such a map

Most of it will be created through the map making process.

so all it really takes is for someone to make a map based on the gamemode.

i'm on a mac so the editing tool to make a map on steam is not available on my platform, so i was hoping maybe someone who is advanced at making a map like androiid could help me out on that

This actually does sound really cool and it wouldn't be that hard to be honest. It's just like Krezand said, basically there are no plugins it's just the map and we can have a map to be extremely large considering you have jail break maps and zombie maps that are that huge it's possible to make a map like this. In my opinion it's basically like a really huge deathrun map mixed in with a zombies and jail break map but it would take a while to put it all together.

Only plugins we actually need is random spawns and random gun spawns to be honest with you, not a lot of coding to be done, just a lot of time spent making a huge map like that.

To do this though, I'm going to need a mapping team to do it though because all that work being made to do 1 map is too big of a task for just myself.

I'd definitely play the server, sounds fun.
Be even more interesting if elements like traps and DoT wounds were implemented with hidden health packs.
