Video editing team please read

Hey guys,

This thread is mainly directed at those who are on the video editing team.

As we all know the EM's bring out lots of events. I was thinking, a good idea for our first project could be to promote this.

I'm not sure if DtK have their own official channel but if they did we could make videos for upcoming events, and promote them. This would also mean we'd have to promote the YouTube channel.

This is just an idea for our first project. There's plenty of us so we should be able to cover alot of events

Tell me your thoughts/opinions.

Replacing the revenue would be at Squalls discression and EMs would need to seek approval from him,not us.
We can produce the work regardless and use other advertising methods to push it about like word of mouth

Yeah that's cool, I understand that. And I'm not saying it's a bad idea by any means, but I think there are better options to explore.

You need to have a lot of views to earn some money, because each view is only worth a tiny amount.

DTK host their own servers on a box and in Squalls house I believe. If you want a cheap host, google cobalt gaming.They are 0.95 cents a slot.

Quallity aint amazing, but for a test server it is more than enough.

Back when I first started making video's on CSS there was a server I was able to go on and type some commands into console that will disable weapons off from my screen and give me no clip, basically cheat commands, but unfortunately DTK server's have all those commands disabled and I'm very picky when I make videos.

Why do you need access to a third party server, when you can do the same thing and much more from your own computer by simply creating a listen server? No lag either.

Just a question, why do you need assess to those commands? If its recording for DtK Servers maybe footage should be taken from the actual server itself?

It is an option to disable the hud and go into spectator mode while recording. Then you can get some people on the server to volunteer and act out some stuff as you need it. Save yourself a couple of bucks.

As a worse case scenario, you can create your own dedicated server with SRCDS so other people can join you. Just have to have good upload speed for that.

Im using Bandicam atm thanks to Rebel. its good wih FPS and the low File size is a blessing.

Sweet as is it going to have sub-sections for each tutorial area or is there going to be the use of suffix'?

I will try and at least do one tutorial this week maybe on my first night shift as I will be awake before I go to work.

I'm gonna be honest, you're not gonna get much out of a video promoting events unless they are social competitions and/or have appealing frags in them.
If I was some random on youtube and I came across a video promoting Scoutzknivez Deathmatch from 7-9pm etc. I would have skipped the video in the first 5 seconds.

This isn't television, where ads are forced upon you, and in the end you will just be wasting your time
