Garry's Mod: Server Suggestion

*NOTE: I do not mean a GMOD server would be good now, i mean at a time that a server may be added or is available :3


Game: Garry's Mod
Type: Trouble In Terrorist Town

Reasoning:

Now i know server suggestions are given a lot however i believe it has great potential for a DtK server, a couple of DtK members play Trouble in Terrorist Town an awsome gamemode where people are selected randomly to become traitors, detectives and innocents the job of the traitors is to kill all of the detectives and innocents while the detectives find the traitors and the innocents are generally pretty useless

Now i play TTT frequently and pretty much everyday so its a solid fact that i would be playing this server i also have about 3-5 friends who loves TTT, so the starting server base would be pretty high

But yeah if you have garry's mod try out TTT if you don't... well buy garry's mod and try out TTT

Yes i would love a gmod server. TTT is okay, but i like RP better but any gmod server would be okay ! good suggestion!

Oh god no, But if a space is ever available i think a TTT server would be pretty awsome ^_^ Especially since we already have CS:S and CS:GO servers running


And i don't see how being a non-donator should make a difference in a judgement of a server, not everyone is financially able to just donate you know, not to mention hide n seek wasen't much of a hit after it got readded anyway...

Thats my point, everyone wants all of these servers but aren't willing to donate for them, meaning we can't have them. What makes you think this server will last any longer than Hide and Seek did?

I don't see your point assassin, squall has just as easily put a bf3 , chivalry, xmas event server , social server and nilla server. I don't see how 1 donater should be the difference between having a gmod server or not. I just entirely up to how many people will play it not who is going to pay for it. Cause by playing it , you are helping pay for it, if you get me

In terms of resource usage, how intensive is GMOD? I probably have less than 4 hours gametime and the times i have been on a server, prop spamming has always been an issue causing server lag. I'd rather stay away from this if its gonna affect the performance of other servers on the box.

Squall TTT is you cant spawn props when you go on gmod next have a look at Trouble in terrorist town, im not suggesting a server im just saying there wont be prop spamming the mod makes it impossible to spawn props, you can only buy weapons and stuff with credits like a store system.

CSS TTT anyone? Not even sure if its possible but would keep to a game we would all enjoy and so people don't have to purchase another game to enjoy DTK servers. Would be a first.

I used to host a GMOD server, it can get resource intensive if someone starts propspamming, but there are plugins for most GMOD admin systems to auto-kick/ban propspammers. Prop spam is only an issue on servers that allow for prop spawning anyway. I'd prefer an RP gamemode over TTT anyway, RP is more entertaining than TTT. Could have Fretta too, which rotates the gamemodes (default is between Dogfight Arcade, GarryWare and TTT) on a regular basis.

TTT is a mod that actually disables spawning props, all the guns and stuff are put into the game before hand, i've played TTT many times and i can't think of a way someone could crash the server.

1) I don't think that would be as fun as the actual GMOD TTT and i think it might be harder populating a CS:S TTT
2) Hosting over to GMOD may potentially pull in new members for the CSS servers


Like everyone said the only thing you can do is move around existing props in the server, and i honestly don't think its would be too intensive but i could ask an owner of a server if you want squally ^_^

Not to mention i would help in anyway if this server was to become a possibility
