Can I please ask a question?

If I'm regularly donating to DTK, why do I have to sit through the 20 second 'Pinion Pot 'O Shite' garbage at the start of each Office round? I understand sponsors help pay the bills, but if a player is donating regularly, is that really fair?

I'm sure there are free-loaders aplenty here on DTK, but it's really f#*king irritating if I'm chipping in and still have to sit through sponsor garbage...

20sec each round watching the ad -> 10,20,30min spent playing ingame. Seems pretty fair to me considering that 20sec each round is what gives you servers to play on in the first place.

I think you get yourself into a bit of trouble just because you are extremely and heavily opinionated. Its not a bad thing, in fact I am quite often the same. But if you choose your words more carefully, I think you will find more people can establish common ground with you and you will generate less arguments from what you say... which will also lead to less profanities around here

. And hopefully a nicer time for everyone.

Also @ Mofosnipes: I had no idea how to skip the ads until someone posted it, and the rands who join probably dont know either.

have you enabled the html in advanced options more than likely its disabled, use to be for me too...till i enabled it and after that there is always something to stare at for 20s

I have it all enabled and the ad doesn't always show for me, and you will only get the mid game popup if you skip at the start.

I wish people could see how silly they look whining about a "27 second" wait lol

D2K should move to accepting recurring payments (instead of the one time payments). $10 a month should be affordable.

You can host paid competitions and take a rake out of the buy-ins. Each server could also have particular skins that could be brought.

It would be preferable to not have the server ads (or shown only once instead of every round), as I doubt many people actually watch it. Could also try something similar to Adsense.

I'm happy to contribute with the ads or not, it's just that I knew nothing about this change and don't recall being informed...or maybe I just forgot.

I can understand where everyone is coming from but the 20 second wait isn't that much of a problems. Adding onto it is my laptop which takes 15 or so seconds to load the map which I ALT + TAB and get distracted by something and when I come back the countdown is gone and all I have to Do is close the MOTD. I T's not that much of a deal to wait 20 seconds of your life.

I'd be more then happy to do a recurring subscription to dtk for about 15-20$ a month, great idea!

I hate ads with a passion, even when I'm watching tv I channel flick for a few minutes to avoid ads. If you want to avoid the ads play PUG it only has a 5 second wait. Sure its good for DtKs monetry position but I wouldnt be surprised if you are losing numbers from the general player base. They wont have the same mindset as all of you "were helping DtK guyths" group and when they are in their server browser thinking about what server to join they will remember the 20 second wait and may very well make their judgement on playing the server because of it.

My 2c have a cry squall. Sent using my shitty iphone so if there are spelling mistakes lack of grammar forgive me.

But at times it's hard to tell and there is no proof unless they openly admit it.
