Scoutknivez Admin Positions

Greetings all readers,
as you are aware the scoutknivez server has been released, congrats to DtK on another successful server. But as you all know, a server cannot operate without someone to lead it head on. I feel it is necessary to open an admin position for the taking for regular players who have been on DtK for a while and who know the system to step in. I would also like to recommend some events being posted, such as a headshot only event every once in a while, or possibly a speed event. If you agree, please let me know, the support is excellent.

ADMINS WILL BE PICKED WHEN THEY ARE READY TO BE PICKED

Hey mate, the way DtK works with new servers is that Staff have admin on all servers, so for the time being they do what they can. And in the meantime while the server remains without any 'Official' admins, be sure that Council and thoe Staff members are on a lookout for the dedicated members, that continually help out, and NOT those who ask for it, or hint that they want it.

Admins for DtK are priviledge positions given out to those who deserve it, and those who contribute to the community. I'd say, in my point of view, DtK's admins line is like 'We come to you, you dont come to us', so keep that in mind and do what you must.

I would also like to recommend lowering the gravity- there have been a few complaints and I think the community should come first.

Instead of posting all this "going for admin" nonsense, how about we give some helpful feedback.
What he is saying is true, the server is in need of an admin or two, just like other new servers.

Mate their IS admin positions open. It dosnt need to be posted left right and centre to know that there's an opening. Just common sense. Staff and Council will pick the admins when they deem necessary.

As for your events, head shot only scouts? I'm afraid that would end in 5 minutes of frustration then disconnect... Try think outside the square with events I cannot stress this enough...

What's wrong with headshot only with scout? Most kills are headshots anyway, and I'm quite sure it's already in place on the server as a !cp option.

maybe this thread would be acceptable if it hadnt had the "server needs admin" bit in it.

come on, we all know council/staff are looking for admins when a new server is put out, thats a given.

You'll be waiting quite a while then for the applications, because here at DtK, there are very little Admin selections based on Applications, aside from those including Events Managing job (which is different altogether). Admin positions at DtK are not just handed to those who have the best applications, because lets face it, any 'joe blow' can pop in and say anything that sounds good... which is pointless and ridiculous.

The selection process at DtK generally works like this, you help the community, you contribute, you help out, then you will get noticed. Getting noticed through this will get you a chance to be considered at the next point an Admin is needed. The more you ask, the more likely chance everyone will think you just want Admin, and 'power hungry', but the more you work for it, the more you will be respected, and the more likely chance of you being noticed.

you obviously wont get admin by asking for it....

hard work and dedication works wonders, and even if you think you're not getting noticed, you will be. so if you are helping out as such and feel you arent being rewarded, 'asking for admin' wont do shit.
