JailBreak Crashes?

Can someone tell me why Jailbreak has been Crashing soo much recently? Its starting to get really annoying... Does anybody know why?

Well, I haven't experienced any frequent crashes, but yesterday - someone had not gotten their way, was banned and then decided to DDoS (Denial of Service attack) the server which lead to one crash, since then it's just been really laggy.

Throughout today, I presume the same guy had decided he ain't got nothing better to do and has proceeded to attempt this several times.
That's to my knowledge - If you really want to know, I'm sure someone of higher authority can clarify

You should be glad that you weren't around when it crashed every time it changed map. It's got alot better, though.. yup, still crashes. I don't think council have looked into it, as it's only just started happening. It's so random this time, I personally wouldn't have a clue.

As I said, it's to my knowledge - It's quite coincidental considering the fact that as soon as he left, we crashed.
I'm not an expert, but I mean - a DoS attack is only temporary to make something unavailable and may proceed to slow down the server performance. All of that is pretty evident on JB right now :P

hmm yes this is getting quiete corcenring. 5 big lag spikes today where and then its just laggy and its only crashed once just now. All the other times its just had a massive lag spike and then a couple of small ones. Im sure council will sort this out it could be a dos or a server problem not sure will have to wait and see.

The servers are under constant DoS/DDoS attacks. It could have been a joined operation, just another thingy, not every crash-laggyness is DOS attacks. It rarely effects it. It may have been a plugin bug, or something else!

I was just playing on it before so it is back up, but even when it does go down, it is back within minutes/hours which is great!

I don't understand where you get off saying they ARE being dosed when you have no proof.

It is highly likely they are, but it is more of a case that the actuall host is being dosed.

I am not convinced that the server is being effected by a DoS attack. As we have multiple servers spread across two "boxes" if the IP of the box was being attacked, all of the servers on that box would be affected(correct me if I am wrong). There have not been any lag issues reported by the severs who share the same box as JB so it's likely a server issue itself.

As for the crashes, there seems to be some instability when admin commands are used to change server cvars, examples of this would be changing the map, even toggling friendly fire. This has been an issue for some time and is still being resolved.

Another cause could simply be the number of plugins and mods we run, clashes are bound to happen that bring the server down. Please continue to be patient while we sort it out.
