I think playing with the skins is cool and it bringa a new element to the game and the server that you won't find elsewhere. top 200, top 50 and dtk skins

However, of late i have noticed that a lot of the top 50 in particular are not using their skins because they feel that they are being targetted. i think this is ridiculous and that a good KDR is a true judge of character.

Since things are getting really serious on this server of late, is it possible to make it so that if you are eligible for a skin that you don't get a choice to wear it or not - you have to wear it? What is everyone elses thoughts on this? I see it as a way from sorting the real men from the boys.

Another option for the aversion of being targeted is to simply change skins when you die because everybody can do that. I tried it this morning when Del and 0n1g1r1 were trying to get me and it was impossible for them to know who I was, and it would be ridiculous to say you can't choose between the defaults.

Even still, if all players ranked below 200 had 1 fixed skin per team and everybody else had the most unique skin available to them, it would still be hard to target a particular player as there would be so many people (in most cases) with that particular skin usually at least 3-5 that it would be a impractical to focus yourself on trying to find one of them with about an average chance 25% to find the right one, if there was only 3-5 people with that skin.

Forced skins would make it easier to not be targeted than to be, bad idea imo. The only players it would be easier to target is the admins.

Yeah I do have my bad days, like when Meowman wins when I'm on the server.
Skins shouldn't be compulsory, we earned it so we choose if we want to wear it.

People who are bitching about being targetted because of their skin listen to this:
After watching you get up to level 23, I'm gonna have a pretty decent clue about which model you look like whether it be the halo suit or just a default model. I WILL KNOW and I WILL specifically target you and knife you regardless what model you are using.

I personally am always wearing the top50 model. Why? Because that ♥♥♥♥ing menu won't ♥♥♥♥ off if I don't choose top50 model or top200 model and it gets in the way of my pwning.

As King has said, you should have formed some clue around who is wearing what and what gun they are at after a minute or so. Not only that though you should be able to follow them through their playstyle as players tend to stick to the same routine.

Now, on topic;
I personally think it 100% should be an option to use any given skin or none at all. i ALWAYS use my top50 skin but thats my personal preference. Each to their own, i have a choice of 4 skins, cant use them all =]
