Missing maps

I cannot access some maps on gungame 4. It disconnects me when i log in saying missing maps...i think these are some of the new ones, or could be old old ones...can anyone help, or tell me why this is. Ta.

I haven't had this problem but if you cant download the maps from the server try going to Google and type the map name in and download it that way. I wonder if anyone in DTK have a zip of the maps that we could download as a map pack for when the maps change from a different rotation where new maps are introduced and people are getting this problem could just download the map-pack.

I'm having this problem for a few of the servers too.

As said above, go to Google and search the map. The first link that pops up is usually Gamebanana, which is the site I mainly use, just get the map of that site. As for the zip of the maps, some map packs are available if you look in the servers thread in the forums. The map packs should be stickied and should be one of the first threads you see.

look on gamebanana DL it from there then put it in your maps folder thts what i do

As everyone has said before, Gamebanana has most of the maps.

Also go to Options > Multiplayer Tab > Allow all custom files from server, make sure that that's the option you have selected.

yeh i have maps missing, about atleast one map from each server which is really annoying.

but im sure if you ask someone nicely they could upload a copy for you to download

Go to your maps folder and make sure that you don't have a corrupt copy of the map which you're having troubles with. If you find one, delete it and try redownloading it from the server.

That was going to be my answer - if it's a map already in your CSS map folder there might be a problem with it. That said you will normally get a different error message that says you have the wrong version of the map

It seems strange that a new map wouldn't download? Not sure if the fast dl server is playing up?

can we please have a zip file to download for all the maps. i just moved home for the holidays to find my mac wont download the maps properly. and my poor gaming desktop is alone in wellington. I have tried game banana, but it only has wolfenstein version 1, and server is running version 5. so yea this is quite frustrating :/

edit : and maloo said i have to play gg4 instead of dust2

yeah, where the maps are hosted is down, ive done a fresh css install, and cannot download a single map, tried to connect /ping directly to where the maps are hosted and cannot get a response....
