Arma 2: DayZ Mod

This mod is a zombie apocolyptic mod, it is a hardcore style mod, your faced against different kinds of zombies and also other players. Other players can kill you such as you can kill them, then loot their bodies. Once you die you don't respawn unless you come back as a new character.

I was thinking if anyone would want to give this a go? you'll need arma 2 operation arrowhead and to download the mod at the mods site, i'll have links under the main text.
So if anyone wants to give the game a go, we could all jump on skype maybe 3 - 5 of us and try to meet ingame on a server.

Rules if you were to join in would be simply no backstabing team mates, this is hardcore gameplay you only live once. Sharing equipment if needed such as ammunition. Skype is a main feature or ventrilo, without that the ingame mic is abit buggy from complaints i've heard through commentators.

Give some feedback if you wanna jump on this mod with me and few others and see how it goes, even if we don't team up just chat on skype to see how we're all going in the server. Might even bump into someone your in the call with.

Looked on the mod site, it says you need arma2:combined operations, but yeah mod looks awesome(love zombie mods). Average lifespan according to site is 33 min.

I got the game yesterday. Mostly been playing when its dark so its hard as ♥♥♥♥ seeing where I'm going.
Also if i team up with people how will i find you guys. I don't know the map and still learning most controls.

Well look, if we get enough people in for the game we can try see how the spawn system works and where you roughly spawn at. Then we can kind of meet up maybe at a town we all know is close to the spawn. I'm downloading the game now, if not it will be done in the morning through a nightly download. After school tomorrow i'll jump on forums, steam and skype see if anyone wants to try this out. I'll also look around for servers in Aus that we can play that look decent.

There is only 15ish aus/nzl servers, but most of them are full. Max players is 50
A new patch came out yesterday and some servers need to be updated to 1.7.1. So if you get stuck on the loading screen its because the server isn't up to date.

Survivor: Try to talk to others get them to join us, or by pass them in the most civilized way.

DtK DayZ Squad "DDS" Live in the Forests, kill any trespassers, hunt the native animals and make a nice lil hide out with a few traps "tents" spreaded on the outscurts with snipers watching closely over them. If they log off they take the tent with them then leave.
