The discussion of DtK Apparel and Merchandise has been covered on numerous occasions, and since these discussions I have been working on a couple of leads in an effort to make the apparel merchandise more affordable to the community while still being able to generate some income towards supporting the everyday costs of DtK.
I am now in a position where I have established a open line of communication to a wholesaler and am now needing to provide the design that we want on our shirts/hoodies. (I have chosen shirts/hoodies due to the popularity expressed for these items in previous threads. Pending the resultant success from this venture, I will look at introducing other lines of merhcandise.)
So as the title says, I am hoping to find some interest from within the DtK Community from individuals who possess the relevant skills to design high quality artwork.
An example of the level and style I am looking for is below. I think you'd all agree that DtK's orange on black would come up looking pretty good, so I am open to all design concepts.
So I am looking at the option of plain black tshirt, black shirt with grey long sleeves, or a black hoodie. (Hoodies are more expensive... by alot).
From all the designs, we might do a vote, and then depending on the feedback we will decide the next step. If we pick one of your designs, you will receive a free shirt/hoodie and claim the bragging rights of Elite Designer for DtK apparel and merchandise.
If we cannot decide on a single design, I might opt to outsource the design...... but I am hoping we can agree on something that has come from within our community.
So get to the designing, and let me see what you can come up with. I was thinking of keeping the design window open for 2 weeks and then see what comes of it.
CLOSING DATE FOR DESIGNS IS THE 01-07-2012 unless otherwise arranged with me.
Keep in mind, I DO NOT WANT this thread to become a judging arena. I want this thread to remain open for design submissions only. Once the designs have been finalised, we will vote accordingly.
