CS:GO SDK Coming soon!

Hey guys,

This is an exciting one for all you mapper out there. Gabe Newell has announced a CS:GO SDK beta to come out sometime this week.

As you can see, the email also confirms that the Steam Workshop recently unveiled for Skyrim mods will be enabled for CS:GO as well, meaning that custom mappers will have a more convenient and accessible way to distribute their creations than ever before. It is unclear at the moment whether the Steam Workshop (essentially a Steam-hosted database of user-submitted custom maps and mods) will only allow custom maps or if it will also allow users to upload other modifications such as weapon and player skins, custom game modes, server mods etc.

i better get CS:GO soon then, so i can test out the CS:GO SDK.
hopefully make some maps for DtK if the CS:GO SDK isnt too difficult, if its similar to CSS, easy. but it depends on what type of server we get for CS:GO

nubs? pfft, i can create decent maps, im making a map like now......but i actually dont have the time
it looks very promising.
If we get a GG server, ill be able to create some awesome GG maps

Yay. So de_nuke can be modded and have "ghetto" added into it for competitive play, like the game is meant to be based off of :/

Sounds fantastic, releasing SDK means they are basically finished the game, and just adding in the final features and polishing the edges, and to release the SDK also means there shouldn't be any more major updates, wait a minute, its valve, they will have a major update every week till the game is unplayable . .
