Hey, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make my own server with hamachi so only my friends could play on it? I tried HLDS but it had errors like the server being out of date and some other random shit. I also tried the create server option in the game but when I tried a surf map I just fell to the ground. So does anyone know how to make a server with hamachi that allows surfing?
Just create a server, turn off your firewall.

You have time set sv_lan 0 I believe as well

I think I have figured it out, I tried SRCDS and its working and the problem with the surf maps was I had to edit the physics in the server properties.
Sv_pure 0 for all those other mods
Sv_LAN 1 for hamachi
You still need to find the port number as well as the hamachi address

He doesn't need sv_lan 0 or ports for hamachi...
I meant the port for the server :25530 or whatever
He still wont need that for hamchi. It will show up in the lan tab regardless.

Also one more thing to add when using hamachi it needs to be on top on your adapter list to function properly, if you didnt know that already.
If your server doesn't work, download the command line one from Valve. That'll definitely work.

Just install source dedicated server through the tools menu of Steam. Then you should be right to just let people connect via your hamachi IP in game. Unless you want to stray away from hamachi and do it for real you will have to forward ports @ http://portforward.com/
You will also need Metamod, Sourcemod and what DM plugin you plan to use. I can give you help via steam if you want. You know where to find me.
